And he answered him, "Oh Lord, wherewith should I save Israel? Behold my kindred is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house."

For my wickednesses are gone over my head, and are like a sore burden, too heavy for me to bear. My wounds stink, and are corrupt, through my foolishness. I am brought into so great trouble and misery, that I go mourning all the day long. For my loins are filled with a sore disease, and there is no whole part in my body. I am feeble and sore smitten, I roar for the very disquietness of my heart. LORD, thou knowest all my desire, and my groaning is not hid from thee. My heart panteth, my strength hath failed me, and the light of mine eyes is gone from me. My lovers and friends stand looking upon my trouble, and my kinsmen are gone afar off. They also that sought after my life laid snares for me; and they that went about to do me evil talked of wickedness, and imagined deceit all the day long. As for me, I was like a deaf man and heard not; as one that were dumb, not opening his mouth. I am become as a man that heareth not: and that can make no resistance with his mouth. For in thee, O LORD, is my trust; thou shalt hear me, O LORD my God. My desire is that mine enemies triumph not over me; for if my foot slip, they rejoice greatly against me. I am ready to suffer trouble, and my heaviness is ever in my sight. For I will confess my wickedness, and be sorry for my sin. But mine enemies live, and are mighty: and they that hate me wrongfully are many in number. They also that reward evil for good are against me, because I follow the thing that is good. Forsake me not, O LORD my God; O go not far from me. Haste thee to help me, O LORD God of my salvation.

For I acknowledge my faults, and my sin is ever before me. Against thee only have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and clear when thou shalt judge. Behold, I was born in wickedness, and in sin hath my mother conceived me.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet, even as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, "Fear not. I am the first and the last,

because thou sayest thou art rich and increased with goods, and hast need of nothing, and knowest not how thou art wretched and miserable, poor, blind, and naked.

But now the LORD sayeth thus: In three years, which shall be as the years of a hired servant, shall the glory of Moab be turned into confusion throughout all his multitude, which is very great. And as for the remnant of them, they shall be small and feeble.

for lo: I will make thee but small among the Heathen, and little regarded among men.

Yea, they shall be the smallest among the other kingdoms, lest they exalt themselves above the Heathen, for I will so diminish them,

But I have understanding as well as ye, and am no less than ye. Yea who knoweth not these things?

Let no man despise thy youth; but be unto them that believe, an example: in word, in conversation, in love, in spirit, in faith and in pureness.

Look what ye know, that same do I know also, neither am I inferior unto you.

For I am the least of all the apostles, which am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the congregation of God:

Unto me, the least of all saints, is this grace given; that I should preach among the gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

and said unto them, "Whosoever receiveth this child in my name, receiveth me. And whosoever receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me. For he that is least among you all, the same shall be great."

Verily I say unto you, Among the children of women arose there not a greater than John the Baptist: Notwithstanding, he that is least in the kingdom of heaven, is greater than he.

For I say unto you, A greater prophet than John, among women's children, is there none. Nevertheless, one that is less in the kingdom of God, is greater than he."

Whosoever breaketh one of these least commandments, and teacheth men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But whosoever observeth, and teacheth the same, shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

This is a true saying, and by all means worthy to be received, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief: for this cause was mercy given unto me, that Jesus Christ should first show on me all long patience, unto the example of them which shall, in time to come, believe on him unto eternal life.

After thee there shall arise another kingdom, which shall be less than thine. The third kingdom shall be like copper, and have domination in all lands.
