The Word [Jesus] became flesh (a human being) and lived with us. We saw the glory of the only begotten son from the Father. He was full of loving-kindness and truth.

Do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me his prisoner. Join me in suffering for the good news according to the power of God. God has saved us and called us with a holy calling. This is not according to our works, but according to his purpose and grace that was granted us in Christ Jesus, from all eternity. The appearance of our Savior Christ Jesus revealed this. He was declared to be the Son of God with power through the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, respecting his name.

He (Jesus Christ) gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify a people for himself, who are special people, zealous for good works.

When the kindness of God our Savior, and his love toward man, appeared, not by works done in righteousness, which we did, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration (restoration) (spiritual rebirth) and renewing (renovation) of the Holy Spirit.

And Jesus answered: Go tell John the things you hear and see. The blind receive their sight. The lame walk! The lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear. The dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

Then some people brought little children to him. They wanted him to lay his hands on them and bless them. But the disciples tried to stop them. Jesus said: Let the little ones (children) come to me. Do not keep them away: for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. He put his hands on them, and then went on his way.

People were bringing little children to him so he could touch them. His disciples turned them away. But when Jesus saw it he was moved with indignation. He said: Allow the little children to come to me! Do not turn them away for they belong to the kingdom of God. Truly I tell you, he who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child shall not enter it.read more.
He took them in his arms, put his hands upon them and blessed them.

They brought all their babes to him that he should touch them. When the disciples saw it they rebuked them. Jesus said: Invite the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them for the kingdom of God belongs to them. Truly I tell you he who does not receive the kingdom of God like little child, shall in no wise enter it.

We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels and crowned with glory and honor for suffering death. By the grace of God he tasted death for every man.

By this we know love, because he (Jesus) gave his life for us. We ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Out of the fullness of his undeserved kindness he gives us one blessing after another. The law came through Moses. Loving-kindness and truth came through Jesus Christ.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ. For by grace (loving-kindness) you have been saved.

In time past you were no people, but now you are the people of God. You had not then received, but now have received mercy (compassion) (divine kindness).

For God loved the world so much, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever has an active faith in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God makes people righteous through their active faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God being justified freely by his grace (as a gift) through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

We are justified (acquitted) (made righteous) by faith. And we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have access to grace (God's favor) by faith through him. This is where we stand. We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

He that did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, will he not with him freely give us all things?

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God that is given you by Jesus Christ. He enriches you in every way, in all speaking, and in all knowledge. The testimony of Christ was confirmed (verified) (established) in you.

All things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ. He gave the ministry of reconciliation to us. God was reconciling the world to himself through Christ. He was not imputing their trespasses against them, for he had committed the word of reconciliation to us.

I do not reject the grace (totally undeserved gift) of God: for if righteousness is [gained] through the law, then Christ died for nothing.

But unto each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good word and work.

I was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and a violent aggressor. I was shown mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation (atonement) (sacrificial payment) for our sins.
