Which, then, of these three do you think was neighbor to him that fell among the robbers? He replied: He that showed mercy to him. Jesus said to him: Go, and do you likewise.

James 2:12-13

So speak, and so act, as those who shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, who has shown no mercy. Mercy glories over judgment.

I forgave you all that debt, because you besought me. Ought you not to have had mercy on your fellow-servant, even as I had mercy on you? And his lord was angry, and delivered him to the jailers, till he should pay all that was due him. So also will my heavenly Father do to you, if, from your hearts, you forgive not every one his brother's offenses.

Luke 17:3-4

Take heed to yourselves; if your brother sin against you, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he sin against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to you and say, I repent, you shall forgive him.

2 Thessalonians 3:3-5
