Then the slave ran to meet her and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. And she said, Drink, my lord, and she hastened to let down her pitcher upon her hand and gave him drink. And when she had finished giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also until they have finished drinking. And she hastened and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water and drew for all his camels.
And as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water and said unto them, Is the seer here?

And they said, We cannot until all the flocks are gathered together and until they roll the stone from the well's mouth, that we may water the sheep. And it came to pass when Jacob saw Rachel, the daughter of Laban, his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban, his mother's brother, that Jacob went near and rolled the stone from the well's mouth and watered the flock of Laban, his mother's brother.

Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country; we will not pass through the fields or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells; we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left until we have passed thy borders.

O hope of Israel! LORD, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed; and those that depart from me shall be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters to hew them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall govern them and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
