'Justice' in the Bible
We all growl like bearsand moan like doves.We hope for justice, but there is none;for salvation, but it is far from us.
Justice is turned back,and righteousness stands far off.For truth has stumbled in the public square,and honesty cannot enter.
Truth is missing,and whoever turns from evil is plundered.The Lord saw that there was no justice,and He was offended.
For I Yahweh love justice;I hate robbery and injustice;I will faithfully reward themand make an everlasting covenant with them.
then you can swear, “As the Lord lives,”in truth, in justice, and in righteousness,then the nations will be blessed by Himand will pride themselves in Him.
Then I thought:They are just the poor;they have played the fool.For they don’t understand the way of the Lord,the justice of their God.
I will go to the powerfuland speak to them.Surely they know the way of the Lord,the justice of their God.However, these also had broken the yokeand torn off the chains.
But the one who boasts should boast in this,that he understands and knows Me—that I am Yahweh, showing faithful love,justice, and righteousness on the earth,for I delight in these things.This is the Lord’s declaration.
Discipline me, Lord, but with justice—not in Your anger,or You will reduce me to nothing.
House of David, this is what the Lord says:Administer justice every morning,and rescue the victim of robberyfrom the hand of his oppressor,or My anger will flare up like fireand burn unquenchablybecause of their evil deeds.
This is what the Lord says: Administer justice and righteousness. Rescue the victim of robbery from the hand of his oppressor. Don’t exploit or brutalize the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Don’t shed innocent blood in this place.
Are you a king because you excel in cedar?Didn’t your father eat and drinkand administer justice and righteousness?Then it went well with him.
“The days are coming”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“when I will raise up a Righteous Branch of David.He will reign wisely as kingand administer justice and righteousness in the land.
In those days and at that timeI will cause a Righteous Branchto sprout up for David,and He will administer justiceand righteousness in the land.
And you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid—this is the Lord’s declaration—for I will be with you.I will bring destruction on all the nationswhere I have banished you,but I will not bring destruction on you.I will discipline you with justice,and I will by no means leave you unpunished.

He doesn’t lend at interest or for profit but keeps his hand from wrongdoing and carries out true justice between men.
“I will seek the lost, bring back the strays, bandage the injured, and strengthen the weak, but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will shepherd them with justice.
I will take you to be My wife forever.I will take you to be My wife in righteousness,justice, love, and compassion.
But you must return to your God.Maintain love and justice,and always put your hope in God.
Those who turn justice into wormwoodthrow righteousness to the ground.
For I know your crimes are manyand your sins innumerable.They oppress the righteous, take a bribe,and deprive the poor of justice at the gates.
Hate evil and love good;establish justice in the gate.Perhaps the Lord, the God of Hosts, will be graciousto the remnant of Joseph.
But let justice flow like water,and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.

“The Lord of Hosts says this: Make fair decisions. Show faithful love and compassion to one another.
You have wearied the Lord with your words.Yet you ask, “How have we wearied Him?”When you say, “Everyone who does what is evil is good in the Lord’s sight, and He is pleased with them,” or “Where is the God of justice?”
“I will come to you in judgment, and I will be ready to witness against sorcerers and adulterers; against those who swear falsely; against those who oppress the widow and the fatherless, and cheat the wage earner; and against those who deny justice to the foreigner. They do not fear Me,” says the Lord of Hosts.
Here is My Servant whom I have chosen,My beloved in whom My soul delights;I will put My Spirit on Him,and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
He will not break a bruised reed,and He will not put out a smoldering wick,until He has led justice to victory.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay a tenth of mint, dill, and cumin, yet you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. These things should have been done without neglecting the others.
“But woe to you Pharisees! You give a tenth of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass justice and love for God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others.
And a widow in that town kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’
yet because this widow keeps pestering me, I will give her justice, so she doesn’t wear me out by her persistent coming.’”
Will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay to help them?
I tell you that He will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith on earth?”
In His humiliation justice was denied Him.Who will describe His generation?For His life is taken from the earth.
When the local people saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “This man is probably a murderer, and though he has escaped the sea, Justice does not allow him to live!”
For consider how much diligence this very thing—this grieving as God wills—has produced in you: what a desire to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what deep longing, what zeal, what justice! In every way you showed yourselves to be pure in this matter.
but to the Son:Your throne, God,is forever and ever,and the scepter of Your kingdomis a scepter of justice.
who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,
