'Comes' in the Bible
and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that comes out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.
Now the word of the Lord came to him: “This one will not be your heir; instead, one who comes from your own body will be your heir.”
He who comes to birth in your house and he who is made yours for a price, all are to undergo circumcision; so that my agreement may be marked in your flesh, an agreement for all time.
One of them said, "I will surely return to you when the season comes round again, and your wife Sarah will have a son!" (Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, not far behind him.
Is anything impossible for the Lord? I will return to you when the season comes round again and Sarah will have a son."
I am standing here at a spring. Let the virgin who comes out to draw water, and I say to her: Please let me drink a little water from your jug,
Then Laban and Bethuel replied, “The matter comes from the Lord; so we cannot speak to you bad or good.
And make me food, good to the taste, such as is pleasing to me, and put it before me, so that I may have a meal and give you my blessing before death comes to me.
And he said to them, Is he well? And they said, He is well; and behold, there comes Rachel his daughter with the sheep.
She said, “Here, take my maid Bilhah and go in to her; and [when the baby comes] she shall deliver it [while sitting] on my knees, so that by her I may also have children [to count as my own].”
The messengers returned to Jacob, saying, "We came to your brother Esau. Not only that, but he comes to meet you, and four hundred men with him."
He thought, “If Esau comes to one camp and attacks it, the remaining one can escape.”
And he instructed the foremost, saying, "When Esau my brother comes upon you and asks you, saying, 'Whose [are] you and where are you going? To whom do these [animals] belong ahead of you?'
They said to one another, “Here comes that dreamer!
Then the chief wine-servant said to Pharaoh, The memory of my sin comes back to me now;
This is how you will be tested: As surely as Pharaoh lives, you will not leave this place unless your youngest brother comes here.
Reuben answered them, saying, “Did I not tell you, ‘Do not sin against the boy’; and you would not listen? Now comes the reckoning for his blood.”
But Judah reminded him, "The man distinctly warned us: "You'll never see my face unless your brother comes with you.'
If it comes to light that any of your servants has done this, let him be put to death, and we will be your lord's servants.
But then you told your servants, "Unless your youngest brother comes back with you, you won't see my face again.'
If now you take this one from me, and some evil comes to him, you will make my grey head go down in sorrow to the underworld.
Someone told Jacob, and said, "Behold, your son Joseph comes to you," and Israel strengthened himself, and sat on the bed.
The scepter will not depart from Judahor the staff from between his feetuntil He whose right it is comesand the obedience of the peoples belongs to Him.
So Joseph made the sons of Israel take an oath: “When God comes to your aid, you are to carry my bones up from here.”
And the midwives said to Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian; for they are strong, and they have borne before the midwife comes to them.
And Pharaoh gave orders to all his people, saying, Every son who comes to birth is to be put into the river, but every daughter may go on living.
The anger of Yahweh was kindled against Moses, and he said, "What about Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Also, behold, he comes forth to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.
Now the Lord said to Moses, “Rise early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh, as he comes out to the water, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
So send for your livestock and everything that belongs to you that's out in the field, because every person and animal found in the field that has not been brought inside to shelters will die when the hail comes down on them."'"
that you shall set apart to Yahweh all that opens the womb, and every firstborn which you have that comes from an animal. The males shall be Yahweh's.
And when Pharaoh made his heart hard and would not let us go, the Lord sent death on all the first sons in Egypt, of man and of beast: and so every first male who comes to birth is offered to the Lord; but for all the first of my sons I give a price.
Whenever they have a dispute, it comes to me, and I make a decision between one man and another. I teach them God’s statutes and laws.”
If he comes alone, he shall go out alone; if he is the husband of a wife, then his wife shall go out with him.
But if a man acts intentionally against another and kills him by [design through] treachery, you are to take him from My altar [to which he may have fled for protection], so that he may be put to death.
If men, while fighting, do damage to a woman with child, causing the loss of the child, but no other evil comes to her, the man will have to make payment up to the amount fixed by her husband, in agreement with the decision of the judges.
But if damage comes to her, let life be given in payment for life,
If an ox comes to be the cause of death to a man or a woman, the ox is to be stoned, and its flesh may not be used for food; but the owner will not be judged responsible.
If a man makes a hole in the earth without covering it up, and an ox or an ass dropping into it comes to its death;
If a man puts an ass or an ox or a sheep or any beast into the keeping of his neighbour, and it comes to death or is damaged or is taken away, without any person seeing it:
If you are cruel to them in any way, and their cry comes up to me, I will certainly give ear;
For it is the only thing he has for covering his skin; what is he to go to sleep in? and when his cry comes up to me, I will give ear, for my mercy is great.
Set it below, under the altar’s ledge, so that the mesh comes halfway up the altar.
And Aaron will bear the names of the {Israelites} in the breast piece of judgment on his heart, when he comes to the sanctuary, for a remembrance before Yahweh continually.
Place the Urim and Thummim in the breastpiece for decisions, so that they will also be over Aaron’s heart whenever he comes before the Lord. Aaron will continually carry the means of decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the Lord.
Aaron shall wear the robe when he ministers, and its sound shall be heard when he goes [alone] into the Holy Place before the Lord, and when he comes out, so that he will not die there.
Aaron's son, who is priest in his place, is to wear them for seven days when he comes into the Tent of Meeting to minister in the Holy Place.
And Moses said, It is not the voice of men who are overcoming in the fight, or the cry of those who have been overcome; it is the sound of songs which comes to my ear.
When the sin which they have done comes to light, then let all the people give an ox for a sin-offering, and take it before the Tent of meeting.
When he inadvertently touches the uncleanness of a human being, whatever his uncleanness that made him unclean may be, when he himself comes to know about it, he will be guilty.
When a person has sworn inadvertently by what he has said, whether for evil or good, whatever it was that the person spoke, when he comes to understand what he said, he will incur guilt by one of these things.
"Meat that comes in contact with a ceremonially unclean thing is not to be eaten. Incinerate it instead. As for ceremonially clean meat, anyone who is clean may eat it.
And the fat of that which comes to a natural death, and the fat of that which is attacked by beasts, may be used for other purposes, but not in any way for food.
You may have as food any beast which has a division in the horn of its foot, and whose food comes back into its mouth to be crushed again.
But, at the same time, of those beasts, you may not take for food the camel, because its food comes back but the horn of its foot is not parted in two; it is unclean to you.
Any of the food which may be eaten, on which water comes, shall become unclean, and any liquid which may be drunk in every vessel shall become unclean.
And if any beast which may be used for food comes to a natural death, anyone touching its dead body will be unclean till evening.
And if the disease comes out all over his skin, from his head to his feet, as far as the priest is able to see,
When the seventh day comes he must shave all his hair -- his head, his beard, his eyebrows, all his hair -- and he must wash his clothes, bathe his body in water, and so be clean.
"The priest is to command that the house be cleared before he comes to examine the contagion so that not everything in the house becomes unclean. After this, the priest is to enter the house and examine it.
"If the plague comes again, and breaks out in the house, after he has taken out the stones, and after he has scraped the house, and after it was plastered;
and the priest comes, undertakes an examination, and determines that the contagion has spread in the house, it's a chronic fungal infection in the house. It's unclean.
“But when the priest comes and examines it, if the contamination has not spread in the house after it was replastered, he is to pronounce the house clean because the contamination has disappeared.
And if liquid from the mouth of the unclean man comes on to him who is clean, then he is to have his clothing washed and his body bathed in water and be unclean till evening.
Every garment and every leather on which there is semen shall be washed with water, and shall be unclean until evening.
And if any man has sex relations with her so that her blood comes on him, he will be unclean for seven days and every bed on which he has been resting will be unclean.
"No person is to be there when he enters the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the sacred place, until he comes out and has made atonement on account of himself, his household, and the entire assembly of Israel.
If a woman comes near any animal and mates with it, you are to kill the woman and the animal. They must be put to death; their own blood is on them.
"Say to them, 'Throughout your generations, any man from any of your offspring who comes near the votive offerings that the {Israelites} consecrate to Yahweh with his uncleanness on him, that person shall be cut off from {before me}; I [am] Yahweh.
such a person who comes in contact with anything like this will become unclean until evening. As a result, he is not to eat the sacred things unless he has bathed himself with water.
That which comes to a natural death, or is attacked by beasts, he may not take as food, for it will make him unclean: I am the Lord.
The Passover to the Lord comes in the first month, at twilight on the fourteenth day of the month.
That which comes to growth of itself may not be cut, and the grapes of your uncared-for vines may not be taken off; let it be a year of rest for the land.
Let this fiftieth year be the Jubilee: no seed may be planted, and that which comes to growth of itself may not be cut, and the grapes may not be taken from the uncared-for vines.
When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating from the previous harvest. You will be eating this until the ninth year when its harvest comes in.
‘If a fellow countryman of yours becomes so poor he has to sell some of his property, then his nearest relative is to come and buy back (redeem) what his relative has sold.
And my face will be turned from you, and you will be broken before those who are against you, and your haters will become your rulers, and you will go in flight when no man comes after you.
And as for the rest of you, I will make their hearts feeble in the land of their haters, and the sound of a leaf moved by the wind will send them in flight, and they will go in flight as from the sword, falling down when no one comes after them;
Falling on one another, as before the sword, when no one comes after them; you will give way before your haters.
Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever it is to stop at a campsite, the Levites are to set it up. Any unauthorized person who comes near it must be put to death.
Then comes the tribe of Zebulun, and the leader of the sons of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon,
Then comes the tribe of Gad, and the leader of the sons of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel,
Then comes the tribe of Benjamin, and the leader of the sons of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni,
Then comes the tribe of Naphtali, and the leader of the sons of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan,
You are to appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out their priestly responsibilities, but any unauthorized person who comes near the sanctuary must be put to death.”
Those who encamp before the tabernacle eastward, in front of the Tent of Meeting toward the sunrise, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary for the duty of the children of Israel. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
from {thirty years old} and above, up to {fifty years old}, everyone who comes to the service to do the work in the tent of assembly.
from {those thirty years old} and above until {fifty years old}; everyone who comes to the service to work in the tent of assembly,
from {those thirty years old} and above until {fifty years old}, everyone who comes to the service to work in the tent of assembly;
from {those thirty years old} and above until {fifty years old}, everyone who comes to the service to work in the tent of assembly,
from {those thirty years old} and above until {fifty years old}, everyone who comes to the service to do [the] work of the service carrying in the tent of assembly,
and if a feeling of jealousy comes over the husband and he becomes jealous because of his wife who has defiled herself—or if a feeling of jealousy comes over him and he becomes jealous of her though she has not defiled herself—
or when a feeling of jealousy comes over a husband and he becomes jealous of his wife. He is to have the woman stand before the Lord, and the priest will apply this entire ritual to her.
He may not make himself unclean for his father or his mother, his sister or his brother, if death comes to them; because he is under an oath to keep himself separate for God.
If death comes suddenly to a man at his side, so that he becomes unclean, let his hair be cut off on the day when he is made clean, on the seventh day.
but for a whole month—until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes nauseating to you—because you have rejected the Lord who is among you, and cried to Him: ‘Why did we ever leave Egypt?’”
And the Lord said to Moses, Has the Lord's hand become short? Now you will see if my word comes true for you or not.
Please don’t let her be like a dead baby whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
And they went up, and searched out the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, where one comes towards Hamath.
to be a memorial to the children of Israel, to the end that no stranger, who isn't of the seed of Aaron, comes near to burn incense before Yahweh; that he not be as Korah, and as his company: as Yahweh spoke to him by Moses.
