'Waters' in the Bible
Look, the Lord has a strong and mighty one—like a devastating hail storm,like a storm with strong flooding waters.He will bring it across the land with His hand.
Those who sow seed are happybeside abundant waters;they let ox and donkey range freely.
Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his handor marked off the heavens with the span of his hand?Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measureor weighed the mountains in a balanceand the hills in the scales?
I will be with youwhen you pass through the waters,and when you pass through the rivers,they will not overwhelm you.You will not be scorchedwhen you walk through the fire,and the flame will not burn you.
This is what the Lord says—who makes a way in the sea,and a path through surging waters,
Wasn’t it You who dried up the sea,the waters of the great deep,who made the sea-bed into a roadfor the redeemed to pass over?
“For this is like the days of Noah to Me:when I swore that the waters of Noahwould never flood the earth again,so I have sworn that I will not be angry with youor rebuke you.
“Come, everyone who is thirsty,come to the waters;and you without money,come, buy, and eat!Come, buy wine and milkwithout money and without cost!
But the wicked are like the storm-tossed sea,for it cannot be still,and its waters churn up mire and muck.
The Lord will always lead you,satisfy you in a parched land,and strengthen your bones.You will be like a watered gardenand like a spring whose waters never run dry.
He sent His glorious armto be at Moses’ right hand,divided the waters before themto obtain eternal fame for Himself,

When He thunders,the waters in the heavens are in turmoil,and He causes the clouds to risefrom the ends of the earth.He makes lightning for the rainand brings the wind from His storehouses.
Who is this, rising like the Nile,like rivers whose waters churn?
Egypt rises like the Nile,and its waters churn like rivers.He boasts, “I will go up, I will cover the earth;I will destroy cities with their residents.”
This is what the Lord says:Look, waters are rising from the northand becoming an overflowing wadi.They will overflow the land and everything in it,the cities and their inhabitants.The people will cry out,and every inhabitant of the land will wail.
“There is a cry from Heshbon to Elealeh; they raise their voices as far as Jahaz—from Zoar to Horonaim and Eglath-shelishiyah—because even the waters of Nimrim have become desolate.

You who reside by many waters,rich in treasures,your end has come,your life thread is cut.
