The blood of Christ did even more. Through the eternal Spirit he offered himself without blemish to God and cleansed your conscience from dead works. Now we can serve (worship) the living God.
If it could, it would cease to be offered. Once the worshipers were cleansed they would have no awareness of sin anymore. These sacrifices are an annual reminder of sin. It is not possible for the blood of bulls and of goats to take away sins. read more.
When Christ came into the world he said: 'Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but you have prepared a body for me. You have no pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.' Then I said: 'I have come in the scroll of the book. It is written about me, to do your will, O God.' Then he said: You did not want nor did you approve of sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin; which are offered by the Law. He also said: I come to do your will, O God. Desires » What the lord does not desire
Samuel said: What is more pleasing to Jehovah, burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Obeying is better than sacrifice. To pay attention is better than the fat of rams.
I desire loving-kindness (mercy), not sacrifice, and knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
When he heard it, he said: People who are well do not have need of a physician. The sick do. You should learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice'; for I came, not to call the righteous, but sinners.
O Jehovah my God, Many are the wonders that you have done and your thoughts toward us. None can compare with you. If I would declare and teach about them, they would be too numerous to report. You have not desired sacrifice and meal offering. You have opened my ears. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required.

Law » What the law cannot do
The Law could not make anything perfect. A better hope has been provided through which we can draw near to God.
Those who live through (in union with) (because of) Jesus Christ have no condemnation. [They do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.] The law of the Spirit gives us life through (with) (because of) Christ Jesus. It has set me free from the law of sin and death. God did what the Law could not do, because human nature was weak. He sent his own son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering and do away with sin. So he condemned sin in sinful human nature. read more.
God did this so that the righteous requirements of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature.
God did this so that the righteous requirements of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature.
Yet we know that a man is not righteous by the works of the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ. We believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be righteous by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law. The works of the law justify no one.

No flesh will be justified before God by works of the law. Knowledge of sin comes from the law.
God has fulfilled this promise to their children by resurrecting Jesus. Just as it is written in the second psalm: You are my Son, today I have become your father. (Psalms 2:7) He raised him up from the dead, never to decay. It is stated in these words: I will give you the sure blessings promised David. (Isaiah 55:3) He said in another psalm: You will not allow your Holy One to see decay. (Ps 16:10) read more.
After David served his own generation by doing the will of God he died and was buried with his fathers. His body decayed. But he (Jesus), whom God raised again, saw no decay. You should know, men and brothers that it is through this man Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him all who believe are justified from all things. You could not be justified through the Law of Moses.

Abraham believed God and Jehovah considered his faith as his righteousness. (Genesis 15:6) You know that those who have faith are sons of Abraham. The Scripture revealed ahead of time, that God justified the people of the nations by faith. He preached the good news beforehand to Abraham. So then those who have faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham. Those who are of the works of the Law are under a curse. The righteous will live by faith.

The next day he saw Jesus coming to him. He boldly declared: Behold! The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world!
Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us. He was an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling odor.
He made the one who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf. That way we might become the righteousness of God in him.

After his suffering he will see the light and be satisfied. By his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many. He will bear their iniquities. Therefore I will give him a portion among the great. He will divide the spoils with the strong. This is because he poured out his life unto death. He was numbered with the transgressors. He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
When Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, He said: This is the blood of the covenant that God has presented to you. Almost all things are by the Law purified with blood. There is no forgiveness unless blood is poured out. It was necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these. But the heavenly things should be cleansed with better sacrifices than these. Christ has not entered into the Holy Place made with human hands. This is a copy of the true one. He has entered into heaven to appear before the presence of God for us. Neither should he offer himself as the high priest enters into the Holy Place every year with blood of others. Otherwise he would have to suffer often from the founding of the world. He has presented himself once at the end of the age to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. It is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. If there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there would not have been a need for a second one. God finds fault with his people and said to them: 'The time is coming,' says Jehovah, 'when I will draw up a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. The first covenant had ordinances for divine service, and an earthly sanctuary. A tabernacle was set up. The first room was called the Holy Place. It contained the lamp stand and table and the consecrated bread. Beyond the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place. read more.

It means that the offerings and animal sacrifices presented to God cannot make the worshiper's heart perfect, since they have to do only with food, drink, and various purification ceremonies. These are all outward rules, which apply only until the time comes to change them for something better. Christ came as the high priest of the good things that are now here. Reconciliation » Jesus Christ reconciling man to God
Because Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God. He was put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit.
You were once far off but now with Christ Jesus, the blood of Christ has brought you near. For he is our peace, who made both (Jews and Gentiles) one, and broke down the middle barrier of partition. Christ abolished in his flesh the enmity (ill will), which the law of commandments contained in ordinances. We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels and crowned with glory and honor for suffering death. By the grace of God he tasted death for every man. It was appropriate that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, should bring many sons to glory, to make the Chief Agent of their salvation perfect through suffering. Both he who sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all from one. For this reason Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. read more.
He says: I will declare your name to my brothers; in the middle of the congregation I will sing praises to you. And again: I will put my trust in him. And again: Behold, the children that Jehovah has given me. (Isaiah 8:18) Since the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also took part of the same things, that through death he might destroy him that had the power to cause death, [Satan] the Devil. And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. He does not help the angels, but he helps the seed of Abraham. This means that he had to become like his brothers in every way, in order to be their faithful and merciful High Priest in his service to God, in order to offer a propitiatory sacrifice (pay atonement) (to make reconciliation) for the sins of the people.

You have not desired sacrifice and meal offering. You have opened my ears. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required.
