Happy is the man who endures temptation: because, being proved, he will receive a crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him with divine love.

And now the righteousness of God without law has been made manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; but the righteousness of God through faith of Jesus Christ is unto all who believe: for there is no difference,

in order that the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus may come to the Gentiles; in order that we may receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

in whom you also, having heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom, also having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

And when I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. So indeed faith, if it may not have works, is dead, as to itself.

For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith also apart from works is dead.

Do you wish to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is inefficient?

choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt: for he was looking unto the recompense of reward.
