Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock among which the Holy Spirit has appointed you [as] overseers, to shepherd the church of God which he obtained through the blood of his own [Son].

Indeed, [he] who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, together with him, freely give us all [things]?

But when the fullness of time came, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

Beware lest {anyone take you captive} through philosophy and empty deceit, according to {human tradition}, according to the elemental spirits of the world and not according to Christ,

For both the one who sanctifies and the ones who are sanctified [are] all from one, for which reason he is not ashamed to call them brothers, saying, "I will proclaim your name to my brothers; in the midst of the assembly I will sing in praise of you." read more. And again, "I will trust in him." And again, "Behold, I and the children God has given me." Therefore, since the children share in blood and flesh, he also in like manner shared in these [same things], in order that through death he could destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,

And God said, "Let us make humankind in our image and according to our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of heaven, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every moving thing that moves upon the earth."

"[As for] the one shedding the blood of humankind, by humankind his blood shall be shed, for God made humankind in his own image.

"Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, 'You will bless the {Israelites}: You will say to them:

"Yahweh possessed me, [the] first of his ways, before his acts {of old}.

And the one called to the other and said, "Holy, holy, holy [is] Yahweh of hosts! The {whole earth is full of his glory}."

Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil, and [after he] had fasted forty days and forty nights, then he was hungry.

and [after he] had fasted forty days and forty nights, then he was hungry. And the tempter approached [and] said to him, "If you are the Son of God, order that these stones become bread." read more. But he answered [and] said, "It is written, 'Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God." Then the devil took him to the holy city and placed him on the highest point of the temple and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down! For it is written, 'He will command his angels concerning you,' and 'On [their] hands they will lift you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'" Jesus said to him, "On the other hand it is written, 'You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.'" Again the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him, "I will give to you all these things, if you will fall down [and] worship me." Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'" Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and began ministering to him.

And behold, they brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher, and [when] Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Have courage, child, your sins are forgiven." And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man is blaspheming!" read more. And knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts? For which is easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins," then he said to the paralytic, "Get up, pick up your stretcher and go to your home."

All [things] have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and {anyone to whom} the Son wants to reveal [him].

Is not this one the son of the carpenter? Is not his mother called Mary and his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?

[While] he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him!"

And Jesus approached [and] spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go [and] make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, read more. teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the age."

And he was in the stern sleeping on the cushion, and they woke him up and said to him, "Teacher, is it not a concern to you that we are perishing?"

And he was astonished because of their unbelief.

And he said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go look!" And [when they] found out, they said, "Five, and two fish."

And he said to her, "Because of this statement, go! The demon has gone out of your daughter."

"I have compassion on the crowd, because they have remained with me three days already and do not have anything to eat.

And sighing deeply in his spirit, he said, "Why does this generation demand a sign? Truly I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation!"

And he asked his father how long it was since this had been happening to him. And he said, "From childhood.

But [when] Jesus saw [it], he was indignant, and said to them, "Let the young children come to me. Do not forbid them, {for to such belongs} the kingdom of God.

And he took along Peter and James and John with him, and he began to be distressed and troubled.

And Jesus said, "I am, and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven." And the high priest tore his clothes [and] said, "What further need do we have of witnesses?

And he said to them, "Go into all the world [and] preach the gospel to all creation. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who refuses to believe will be condemned. read more. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will expel demons, they will speak in new tongues, they will pick up snakes. And if they drink any deadly [poison] it will never hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and {they will get} well."

And Jesus was advancing in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and [with] people.

and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased."

And [when] Jesus heard these [things], he marveled at him, and turning around to the crowd that was following him, he said, "I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith!"

And [when] the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, "Do not weep!"

At [that] same time he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these [things] from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to young children. Yes, Father, for this was pleasing before you.

"And you are the ones who have remained with me in my trials,

And he said to them, "These [are] my words that I spoke to you [while I] was still with you, that everything that is written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled." Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures, read more. and said to them, "Thus it is written [that] the Christ would suffer and would rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these [things].

On the next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

And Jacob's well was there, so Jesus, [because he] had become tired from the journey, simply sat down at the well. It was about the sixth hour.

And the one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do the things that are pleasing to him."

Then Jesus, when he saw her weeping and the Jews who came with her weeping, was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled within himself. And he said, "Where have you laid him?" They said to him, "Lord, come and see."

Jesus said to him, "Am I with you so long a time and you have not known me, Philip? The one who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, 'Show us the Father?'

After this, Jesus, knowing that now at last everything was completed, in order that the scripture would be fulfilled, said, "I am thirsty."

And yet he did not leave himself without witness [by] doing good, giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying [you] with food and your hearts with gladness."

For from the creation of the world, his invisible [attributes], both his eternal power and deity, are discerned clearly, being understood in the things created, so that they are without excuse.

for the administration of the fullness of times, to bring together all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth, in him

in whom we have the redemption, the forgiveness of sins,

in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all [things], through whom also he made the world,

For it was fitting for him for whom [are] all [things] and through whom [are] all [things] in bringing many sons to glory to perfect the originator of their salvation through sufferings.

since it would have been necessary for him to suffer many times from the foundation of the world, but now he has appeared once at the end of the ages for the removal of sin by the sacrifice of himself.
