Then Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his other two sons, "Do not dishevel the hair of your heads and do not tear your garments, so that you do not die and so that wrath does not come on the whole congregation. Your brothers, all the house of Israel, are to mourn the burning which the Lord has caused,

You must keep My instruction to not do any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am Yahweh your God.”

"Do not drink wine or strong drink, you and your sons with you, when you enter into the Meeting Tent, so that you do not die, which is a perpetual statute throughout your generations,

" 'You shall not hate your brother in your heart; you shall surely rebuke your fellow citizen, so that you do not incur sin {along with} him.

And you shall remain at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of Jehovah, so that you do not die. For so I am commanded.

You must not give any of your children as an offering to Molech, so that you do not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord!

You must not swear falsely in my name, so that you do not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.

if you reject my statutes and abhor my regulations so that you do not keep all my commandments and you break my covenant --

" 'But if you do not listen to me and you do not carry out all these commands,

"'You must not make for yourselves idols, so you must not set up for yourselves a carved image or a pillar, and you must not place a sculpted stone in your land to bow down before it, for I am the Lord your God.

"You are not to have sexual relations with the daughter of your father's wife. Born of your father, she's your sister, so you are not to have sexual relations with her.

“Tell Aaron and his sons to deal respectfully with the holy offerings of the Israelites that they have consecrated to Me, so they do not profane My holy name; I am Yahweh.

So you are not to let the land vomit you up because of your uncleanness as it is vomiting the nations that were here before you.

So you shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the Lord your God.

" 'And if in spite of these [things] you do not listen to me, then I will continue to discipline you seven times for your sins.

" 'And if you do not accept correction from me through these [things], but you go against me [in] hostility,

" 'And if through this you do not listen to me and you go against me in hostility,

"Neither your father's nakedness nor your mother's nakedness is to be exposed. She's your mother, so you are not to have sexual relations with her.
