Then Thomas (he being called Twin) said to his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with Him.

Then from that day they took counsel together that they might kill Him.

And all the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commands, that if anyone knew where He was, he should make it known so that they might seize Him.

Then they made a supper there for Him. And Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those reclining with Him.

Then said one of His disciples (Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, who was to betray Him)

because many of the Jews went away and believed on Jesus because of him.

But His disciples did not know these things at the first. But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.

Then the crowd witnessed, those who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead.

Because of this the crowd also met Him, because they heard that He had done this miracle.

Then the Pharisees said among themselves, Do you see how you gain nothing? Behold, the world has gone after Him.

Then these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we want to see Jesus.

Then the crowd who stood by and heard said that it thundered. Others said, An angel spoke to Him.

The crowd answered Him, We have heard out of the Law that Christ lives forever. How do you say, The Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?

Still, however, even out of the rulers, many did believe on Him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;

And if any one hears My Words and does not believe, I do not judge him, for I do not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

And when supper had ended, the Devil now having put into the heart of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon to betray Him,

Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, Lord, do You wash my feet?

Peter said to Him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.

Simon Peter said to Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and head.

Jesus said to him, He who is bathed has no need except to wash his feet, but is clean every whit. And you are clean, but not all.

Truly, truly, I say to you, A servant is not greater than his master, neither is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.

Truly, truly, I say to you, He who receives whomever I send receives Me. And he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

Simon Peter therefore signaled to him to ask whom it might be of whom He spoke.

And lying on Jesus' breast, he said to him, Lord, who is it?

But no one reclining knew for what reason He spoke this to him.

For some thought, because Judas had the moneybag, that Jesus had said to him, Buy what we have need of for the feast; or that he should give something to the poor.

Then when he had left, Jesus said, Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him.

If God is glorified in Him, God shall also glorify Him in Himself, and shall immediately glorify Him.

Simon Peter said to Him, Lord, where do You go? Jesus answered him, Where I go you cannot now follow Me, but you shall follow Me afterward.

Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your life for My sake? Truly, truly, I say to you, The cock shall not crow until you have denied Me three times.

Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You go, and how can we know the way?

If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. And from now on you know Him and have seen Him.

Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.

Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?

Then Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and said to them, Do you seek answers with one another concerning this, because I said, A little while and you shall not see Me; and again a little while, and you shall see Me?

The disciples said to Him, Lo, now You speak plainly and speak no parable.

And Judas who betrayed Him also knew the place. For Jesus oftentimes went there with His disciples.

Then Jesus, knowing all things that were coming upon Him, went out and said to them, Whom do you seek?

They answered Him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said to them, I AM! And Judas who betrayed Him also stood with them.

Then the band, and the chiliarch, and under-officers of the Jews together seized Jesus and bound Him.

And they led Him away to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the high priest that year.

Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where the Jews always resort, and I have said nothing in secret.

Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why do you strike Me?

Then Annas had sent Him bound to Caiaphas the high priest.

And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Then they said to him, Are you not also one of his disciples? He denied and said, I am not.

One of the servants of the high priest, being kinsman to him whose ear Peter cut off, said, Did I not see you in the garden with him?

They answered and said to him, If he were not an evildoer, then we would not have delivered him up to you.

Then Pilate said to them, You take him and judge him according to your Law. Then the Jews said to him, It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death

Then Pilate entered into the praetorium again and called Jesus and said to him, Are you the king of the Jews?

Jesus answered him, Do you say this thing of yourself, or did others say it to you about Me?

Pilate then said to Him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say it that I am a king. To this end I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

Pilate said to Him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, I find no fault in him.

And the soldiers plaited a crown of thorns and put it on His head. And they put a purple robe on Him,

Then Pilate went out again and said to them, Behold, I bring him out to you so that you may know that I find no fault in him.

Then when the chief priests and under-officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, Crucify! Crucify Him! Pilate said to them, You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in him.

The Jews answered him, We have a Law, and by our Law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

And he went again into the praetorium and said to Jesus, Where are you from? But Jesus gave him no answer.

Then Pilate said to him, Do you not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to crucify you, and I have authority to release you?

From this time, Pilate sought to release Him. But the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.

But they cried out, Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him! Pilate said to them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

Then he delivered Him up to them that He might be crucified. And they took Jesus and led Him away.

Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with Him.

For these things were done so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "Not a bone of Him shall be broken."
