John answered them, saying, I baptize in water. There standeth one among you whom ye know not,

Jesus answered and said to her, If thou hadst known the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldst have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

They said therefore to him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me, nor my Father. If ye knew me, ye would know my Father also.

The man answered and said to them, Why, herein is a marvelous thing, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he opened my eyes.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, not knowing him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath, fulfilled them in condemning him.

Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God l For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we children of God, and it hath not yet been manifested what we shall be. We know that, when it shall be manifested, we shall be like him; because we shall see him as he is. And every one that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure. read more.
Whoever committeth sin transgresseth thereby the law; for sin is a transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away sins; and in him is no sin. Whoever abideth in him sinneth not; whoever sinneth hath not seen him, nor known him.

Whoever goeth beyond, and abideth not in the teaching of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the teaching, he hath both the Son and the Father.

And now, my children, abide in him; that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, if it abide not in the vine, so neither can ye, unless ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit; for apart from me ye can do nothing. If any one abideth not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather it, and cast it into the fire, and it is burned. read more.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever ye will, and it shall be done for you.

Beloved, do not imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God; he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

We know that whoever hath been born of God sinneth not; but he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the Evil One toucheth him not.
