Come unto me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me. I am meek (mild) and humble in heart. You will have a restful life, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.





Those who cry while they plant will joyfully sing while they harvest. The person who goes out weeping, carrying his bag of seed, will come home singing, carrying his bundles of grain.

But he says to the Son: God is your throne forever and ever. (Your throne, Oh God-like one, is forever.) A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. (Psalm 45:6, 7) You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions.



Jehovah will surely comfort Zion. He will look with compassion on all her ruins. He will make her deserts like Eden and her wastelands like the garden of Jehovah. Joy and gladness will be found in her along with thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

Moses called all the people of Israel, and said: Hear, O Israel, the regulations and laws I declare to you today. Learn them and obey them! Jehovah our God made a covenant with us at Horeb. Jehovah did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, all of us here alive today.

Therefore I will faithfully give them their recompense and make an everlasting covenant with them. Then their offspring will be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them because they are the blessed offspring of Jehovah.

Jehovah the God of Israel says, 'Cursed is everyone who does not obey the terms of this covenant.' It is the covenant I made with their ancestors when I brought them out of Egypt. Egypt was like an iron smelter (furnace) to them. I told them to obey me and to do everything that I commanded. I told them that if they obeyed, they would be my people and I would be their God. Then I would keep the promise I made to their ancestors that I would give them the rich and fertile land which they now have.'' I answered: Amen (Yes) Jehovah.
