Then answered he and said to them, "He that soweth the good seed, is the son of man,


And without similitude spake he nothing unto them. But when they were apart, he expounded all things to his disciples.






Wherefore, if thy hand offend thee, cut him off. It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than to go, having two hands, into hell: into fire that never shall be quenched,

The son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that do offend, and all them which do iniquity, and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Likewise, if thy foot offend thee, cut him off. For it is better for thee to go halt into life, than, having two feet, to be cast into hell: into fire that never shall be quenched,

Even so, if thine eye offend thee, pluck him out. It is better for thee to go into the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire: where their worm dieth not, and the fire never goeth out.

And it fortuned that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: The rich man also died, and was buried in hell. And being in hell, in torments, he lift up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom; And he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.'


I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren like unto thee and will put my words into his mouth and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

For Moses said unto the fathers, 'A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you, even of your brethren, like unto me: him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me, and they have received them, and know surely that I came out from thee: and do believe that thou didst send me.

I have many things to say, and to judge of you. But he that sent me is true. And I speak in the world, those things which I have heard of him."



He that loveth me not, keepeth not my sayings. And the words which ye hear are not mine, but the father's, which sent me.



to call to remembrance the words which were told before of the holy prophets, and also the commandment of us; the apostles of the Lord and Saviour.

As soon, therefore, as he was risen from death again, his disciples remembered that he thus said unto them. And they believed the scripture, and the words which Jesus had said.

And they remembered his words, and returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the remnant.

These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that such things were written of him, and that such things they had done unto him.

But these things have I told you: that when that hour is come, ye might remember then, that I told you so. These things said I not unto you at the beginning, because I was present with you.



Marvel not at this: that the hour shall come, in which all that are in the graves, shall hear his voice, and shall come forth: They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; And they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.


and will divide him, and give him his reward with hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."









And they were all amazed, insomuch that they demanded one of another among themselves, saying, "What thing is this? What new doctrine is this? For he commandeth the foul spirits with power, and they obey him."




Then said Jesus, "Let her alone, against the day of my burying she kept it.


He that loveth me not, keepeth not my sayings. And the words which ye hear are not mine, but the father's, which sent me.

If any man teach otherwise, and is not content with the wholesome words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine of godliness,



Jesus answered, and said, "O generation without faith, and crooked: how long shall I be with you? And shall suffer you? Bring thy son hither."




Then Jesus answered, and said unto her, "O woman great is thy faith, be it to thee, even as thou desirest." And her daughter was made whole even at that same hour.


"If ye love me, keep my commandments, and I will pray the father: and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you ever,


After that he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat: and cast in their teeth their unbelief, and hardness of heart: because they believed not them which had seen him after his resurrection.










Jesus answered them and said, "Verily, verily I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles: but because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled.




For I say unto you, A greater prophet than John, among women's children, is there none. Nevertheless, one that is less in the kingdom of God, is greater than he."


And Jesus said, "Let her be in rest. Why trouble ye her? She hath done a good work on me.


And he said, "Of a truth I say unto you, this poor widow hath put in more than they all.




"I have declared thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy sayings.




The servants answered, "Never man spake as this man doeth."


Then Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life;




And all they bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words, which proceeded out of his mouth, and said, "Is not this Joseph's son?"


And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his preaching was with power.


When Jesus heard this, he marveled at him, and turned him about and said to the people that followed him, "I say unto you, I have not found so great faith: No, not in Israel, certainly."
