Think on his covenant ever, and on the word he commanded to a thousand generations.

He is always mindful of his covenant and promise, that he made to a thousand generations,

so that when I bring in clouds upon the earth, the bow shall appear in the clouds. And then will I think upon my covenant which I have made between me and you, and all that liveth, whatsoever flesh it be. So that henceforth there shall be no more waters to make a flood to destroy all flesh. The bow shall be in the clouds, and I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and all that liveth upon the earth, whatsoever flesh it be."

And it chanced, in process of time, that the king of Egypt died; and the children of Israel sighed by the reason of labour, and cried. And their complaint came up unto God from the labour. And God remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel and knew them.

He giveth meat unto them that fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant.

And hath raised up a horn of salvation unto us, in the house of his servant David. Even as he promised by the mouth of his holy prophets which were since the world began. That we should be saved from our enemies: And from the hands of all that hate us:read more.
To fulfill the mercy promised to our fathers; And to remember his holy covenant; And to perform the oath, which he sware to our father Abraham, for to give us.

For why? He remembered his holy promise which he had made to Abraham his servant.

When thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, 'What meaneth the witnesses, ordinances and laws which the LORD our God hath commanded you?' Then thou shalt say unto thy son, 'We were bondmen unto Pharaoh in Egypt, but the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. And the LORD showed signs and wonders both great and evil upon Egypt, Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes;read more.
and brought us from thence to bring us in and to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.

All the places that the soles of your feet shall tread upon, have I given you, as I said unto Moses:

The Lord is not slack to fulfill his promise as some men count slackness: but is patient to us ward and would have no man lost, but would receive all men to repentance.

Doth a wife forget the child of her womb, and the son who she hath born? And though she do forget, yet will not I forget thee. Behold, I have written thee up upon my hands, thy walls are ever in my sight.

But yet when God destroyed the cities of the region, he thought upon Abraham: and sent Lot out from the danger of the overthrowing, when he overthrew the cities where Lot dwelled.

And God remembered Rachel, heard her, and made her fruitful:

For this is the testament that I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws in their minds, and in their hearts, I will write them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall not teach, every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'know the Lord': For they shall know me, from the least to the most of them. For I will be merciful over their unrighteousness, and on their sins and on their iniquities."

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, sayeth the LORD: I will plant my law in the inward parts of them, and write it in their hearts, and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And from thenceforth shall no man teach his neighbour or his brother, and say, 'Know the LORD.' But they shall all know me, from the lowest unto the highest, sayeth the LORD. For I will forgive their misdeeds, and will never remember their sins anymore.

Whoso rejoiceth upon earth, shall rejoice in the true God: And whoso sweareth upon earth, shall swear in the true God. For the old enmity shall be forgotten, and taken away out of my sight. For lo, I shall make a new heaven, and a new earth. And as for the old, they shall never be thought upon, nor kept in mind:

And yet the wicked, if he turn from all his sins which he did, and keep all mine ordinances, and do justly and righteously; he shall live and not die. None of the sins that he hath done shall be reckoned unto him: In the righteousness that he hath done, he shall live. For I desire not the death of a sinner, saith the Lord Jehovah, but rather that he should turn from his way, and live.read more.
And so if a righteous turn from his righteousness and do wickedness, and shall do like unto all the abominations which a wicked doth, shall he live? No, none of those righteousness that he did shall be remembered. But in the wickedness which he wrought, and in the sin which he did, in them shall he die.

But that comforter, which is the holy ghost - whom my father will send in my name - he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have told you.

As soon, therefore, as he was risen from death again, his disciples remembered that he thus said unto them. And they believed the scripture, and the words which Jesus had said.

These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that such things were written of him, and that such things they had done unto him.

But these things have I told you: that when that hour is come, ye might remember then, that I told you so. These things said I not unto you at the beginning, because I was present with you.

But remember the LORD thy God, how that it is he which gave thee power to do manfully, for to make good the covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is come to pass this day.

I have thought upon thy name, O LORD, in the night season, and have kept thy law.

Why art thou so full of heaviness, O my soul, and why art thou so disquieted within me? Put thy trust in God; for I will give him thanks for the help of his countenance. My God, my soul is vexed within me; therefore I remember the land of Jordan, and the little hill of Hermon.

Ye that have escaped the sword: haste you, stand not still. Remember the LORD afar off, and think upon Jerusalem:

When my soul fainted in me, I thought on the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, even into thy holy temple.

Remember the things which are past, since the beginning of the world: that I am God, and that there is else no God, yea, and that there is nothing like unto me.

And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and how that the LORD God brought thee out thence with a mighty hand and a stretched out arm. For which cause the LORD thy God commandeth thee to keep the Sabbath day.

If thou shalt say in thine heart, 'These nations are more than I, how can I cast them out?' Fear them not, but remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh and unto all Egypt,

When thou hast eaten therefore and filled thyself, then bless the LORD for the good land which he hath given thee. But beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, that thou wouldest not keep his commandments, laws and ordinances which I command thee this day: yea, and when thou hast eaten and filled thyself and hast built goodly houses and dwelt therein,read more.
and when thy beasts and thy sheep are waxed many and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast increased, then beware lest thine heart rise and thou forget the LORD thy God which brought thee out of the land of Egypt the house of bondage, and which led thee in the wilderness both great and terrible with fiery serpents and scorpions and thirst where was no water, which brought the water out of the rock of flint: which fed thee in the wilderness with Manna whereof thy fathers knew not, for to humble thee and to prove thee, that he might do thee good at thy latter end. And beware that thou say not in thine heart, 'My power and the might of mine own hand hath done me all these acts.' But remember the LORD thy God, how that it is he which gave thee power to do manfully, for to make good the covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is come to pass this day.

Remember his marvels which he did, and his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth:

Do ye not yet perceive, neither remember those five loaves, when there were five thousand men, and how many baskets took ye up? Neither the seven loaves, when there were four thousand, and how many baskets took ye up?

Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedest the LORD thy God in the wilderness: for since the day that thou camest out of the land of Egypt until ye came unto this place, ye have rebelled against the LORD. Also in Horeb ye angered the LORD so that the LORD was wroth with you, even to have destroyed you,

This is the second epistle that I now write unto you, my dearly beloved, wherewith I stir up and warn your pure minds, to call to remembrance the words which were told before of the holy prophets, and also the commandment of us; the apostles of the Lord and Saviour. This first understand: that there shall come in the last days mockers, which will walk after their own lustsread more.

"Speak unto the children of Israel and bid them, that they make them guards upon the quarters of their garments throughout their generations, and let them make the guards of ribbons of Jacinth. And the guard shall be unto you to look upon it, that ye remember all the commandments of the LORD and do them: that ye seek not a way after your own hearts and after your own eyes, for to go a whoring after them: but that ye remember and do all my commandments and be holy unto your God:

All the commandments which I command thee this day ye shall keep for to do them, that ye may live and multiply and go and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. And think on all the ways which the LORD thy God led thee this forty years in the wilderness, for to humble thee and to prove thee, to wete what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or no.

But the merciful goodness of the LORD endureth for ever and ever upon them that fear him, and his righteousness upon their children's children; even upon such as keep his covenant, and think upon his commandments to do them.

I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to receive the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how that he said, 'It is more blessed to give, than to receive.'"

warning only that we should remember the poor, which thing also I was diligent to do.

Be not forgetful to lodge strangers. For thereby have divers received angels into their houses unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, even as though ye were bound with them. Be mindful of them which are in adversity, as ye which are yet in your bodies.

and thanked and brake, and said, "Take ye, and eat ye. This is my body which is broken for you. This do ye in the remembrance of me." After the same manner he took the cup when supper was done saying, "This cup is the new testament in my blood, this do as oft as ye drink it, in the remembrance of me." For as often as ye shall eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye shall show the Lord's death, till he come.read more.

Likewise also, when they had supped, he took the cup saying, "This cup is the new testament, in my blood, which shall for you be shed.

But my trust is in thy mercy, and my heart is joyful in thy salvation. I will sing of the LORD, because he hath dealt so lovingly with me; Yea, I will praise the name of the LORD the most highest.

And the priest shall take the maund out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God. And thou shalt answer and say before the LORD thy God, 'The Syrians would have destroyed my father, and he went down into Egypt and sojourned there with a few folk and grew there unto a nation great, mighty and full of people. And the Egyptians vexed us and troubled us, and laded us with cruel bondage.read more.

O come hither and behold the works of God; which is so wonderful in his doings among the children of men. He turned the sea into dry land, so that they went through the water on foot; there did we rejoice thereof.

Remember, therefore, how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If you shalt not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

For thus sayeth the LORD God: I should, by right, deal with thee, as thou hast done. Thou hast despised the oath, and broken the covenant. "'Nevertheless, I will remember the covenant that I made with thee in thy youth, insomuch that it shall be an everlasting covenant: So that thou also remember thy ways, and be ashamed of them. Then shalt thou receive of me thy elder and younger sisters, whom I will make thy daughters: and that beside thy covenant.read more.
And so I will renew my covenant with thee, that thou mayest know that I am the LORD: That thou mayest think upon it, be ashamed, and excuse thine own confusion no more: when I have forgiven thee all that thou hast done, sayeth the LORD God.'"

Therefore when thou offerest thy gift at the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; leave there thine offering before the altar, and go thy way first, and be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

And Peter remembered the words of Jesus, which he said unto him, "Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice": and went out at the doors and wept bitterly.

And again the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word that Jesus said unto him. "Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice," and began to weep.

And the Lord turned back and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the words of the Lord, how he said unto him, "Before the cock crow thou shalt deny me thrice." And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

Remember, therefore, from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works. Or else I will come unto thee shortly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

He is not here: but is risen. Remember how he spake unto you, when he was yet with you in Galilee, saying that the son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." And they remembered his words,

Remember the saying, that I said unto you, 'The servant is not greater than the Lord.' If they have persecuted me, so will they persecute you. If they have kept my saying, so will they keep yours.

These things have I said unto you because ye should not be offended. They shall excommunicate you: yea the time shall come, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth God true service. And such things will they do unto you, because they have not known the father, neither yet me.read more.

And as I began to preach, the holy ghost fell on them, as he did on us at the beginning. While I consider these things in my heart, I get a hope again. {Khet} Namely, that the mercies of the LORD are not clean gone, and that his loving-kindness ceaseth not. His faithfulness is great and reneweth itself as the morning.read more.

{Of David} Praise the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

Call to remembrance the days that are passed in the which, after ye had received light, ye endured a great fight in adversities, partly while all men wondered and gazed at you for the shame and tribulation that was done unto you, and partly while ye became companions of them which so passed their time. For ye suffered also with my bonds, and took in worth the spoiling of your goods, and that with gladness, knowing in yourselves how that ye had in heaven a better, and an enduring substance.read more.
Cast not away, therefore, your confidence; which hath great reward to recompense. For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
