Then called he all his master's debtors, and said unto the first, 'How much owest thou unto my master?'

Simon answered, and said, "I suppose that he to whom he forgave most." And he said unto him, "Thou hast truly judged."

yet of a stranger thou mayest call it home again. But that which thou hast with thy brother thine hand shall remit,

Therefore, brethren, we are now debtors; not to the flesh, to live after the flesh:

And there cried a certain woman of the wives of the children of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, "Thy servant my husband is dead, and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD. And the creditor is come to fetch my two sons, to be his bondmen."

Whom, because he had nought to pay, his Master commanded him to be sold: and his wife, and his children, and all that he had; and payment to be made.

and hath put out the handwriting that was against us, contained in the law written, and that hath he taken out of the way, and hath fastened it to his cross,

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents:

Whoso despiseth the word, destroyeth himself; but he that feareth the commandment shall have peace.

And he would not, but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.

"There was a certain lender, which had two debtors, the one ought five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

And the said servant went out and found one of his fellows, which owed him a hundred pence. And laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me that thou owest.'

And if the people of the land brought wares on the Sabbath, and all manner of victuals to sell, that we would not take it of them on the Sabbath and on the holy days. And that we would let the seventh year be free concerning all manner of charge.

For I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to them which are no Greeks, unto the learned and also unto the unlearned.

Then said he to another, 'What owest thou?' And he said, 'An hundred quarters of wheat.' He said to him, 'Take thy bill, and write fourscore.'

Save thyself as a doe from the hand, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

When they had nothing to pay, he forgave them both. Which of them tell me, will love him most?"

and commanded them, saying, "At the end of seven years, in the time of the free year, in the feast of the tabernacles,

Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, "Go and sell the oil and pay thy creditor. And live, thou and thy children, off the rest."

And his Lord was wroth, and delivered him to the jailers, till he should pay all that was due to him.

Be not thou one of them that bind their hand upon promise, and are surety for debt;

And there gathered unto him all men that were in cumbrance and in debt and troubled in their hearts, and he became a captain over them. And there were with him upon a four hundred men.

If he have hurt thee or oweth thee ought, that lay to my charge.

And he said, "Go and borrow thee in other places, of all thy neighbours, empty vessels - and that not a few.

And this is the manner of the free year: whosoever lendeth ought with his hand unto his neighbour, may not ask again that which he hath lent, of his neighbour or of his brother: because it is called the LORD's free year,

Then his Lord called him, and said unto him, 'O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou praydest me:

It hath pleased them verily, and their debtors are they. For if the gentiles be made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is to minister unto them in carnal things.

Therefore my son, do this: and thou shalt be discharged, when thou art come into thy neighbour's danger. Go thy ways then soon, and entreat thy neighbour:

My son, if thou be surety for thy neighbour, thou hast fastened thine hand with another man:

If it be of grace, then is it not of works. For then were grace no more grace. If it be by the deserving of works, then is it no more grace. For then were deserving no longer deserving.

And when the vessels were full, she said to her son, "Bring yet a vessel." And he said, "There is no more." And then the oil ceased.

let not thine eyes sleep, nor thine eyelids slumber.

Give him his hire the same day, and let not the sun go down thereon. For he is needy and therewith sustaineth his life, lest he cry against thee unto the LORD and it be sin unto thee.

But no man may deliver his brother, nor make agreement unto God for him,

Insomuch that the same wicked man giveth the pledge again, restoreth that he had taken away by robbery, walketh in the commandments of life, and doth no wrong: Then shall he surely live, and not die.

Whoso promiseth by the hand, and is surety for another; he is a fool.

And Elisha said to her, "What shall I do for thee? Tell me, what hast thou in thine house?" And she said, thy handmaid hath nothing at all in her house, save a pitcher with oil.
