and the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the officers, and the rich men, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the caves, and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of his wrath has come, and who is able to stand?

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name cast out demons, and in thy name done many mighty works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has that which judges him: the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.

But, according to your hard and impenitent heart, you treasure up to yourself wrath for a day of wrath, and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And there shall be no more night; and they have no need of the lamp, nor of the light of the sun: for the Lord God will give them light: and they shall reign from age to age.

being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you, will carry it on till the day of Jesus Christ;

For this is the will of him that sent me, that every one who sees the Son, and believes on him, may have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Martha said to him: I know that he will rise, in the resurrection at the last day.

He also will establish you even to the end, and make you blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But when you shall see Jerusalem besieged by armies, then know that its desolation is near.

for you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night: for when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as the pains of birth upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.

But know this, That if the master of the house had known at what watch the thief comes, he would have watched, and would not have permitted his house to be broken open. For this reason, be you also ready; for at an hour in which you think not, the Son of man comes.

But of that day or that hour no one knows: neither the angels who are in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth, and the works that are on it, shall be burned up.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light, and sons of day: we are not of night, nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober.read more.
For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunken, are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, having on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation:

Seeing, then, that all these things shall be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in all holy behavior, and godliness, looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, because of which coming the heavens shall dis solve in fire, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.

So also, when you see all these things, know that it is near at the doors.

So likewise, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come, unless the apostasy come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,

And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and terrible day of the Lord comes.

and there shall be great earthquakes in various places, and famines, and pestilences; and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.

for then shall be great affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the world till now, nor shall ever be.

For these will be the days of affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created, till this time, and will never be.
