Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying: I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Peace I leave to you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, and let it not be afraid.

And the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.

And every one that has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundred fold, and shall inherit eternal life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

If you know these things, blessed are you, if you do them.

He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me; and he that loves me shall be loved by my Father; and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

But he that looks intently into the perfect law of liberty, and remains constant, being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, he shall be blessed in his deed.

If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

Bless ed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness; for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful; for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God. And Jesus answering, said: Verily I say to you, There is no one that has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, who shall not receive a hundred-fold, now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.

But godliness, with a contented disposition, is great gain.

If any one serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall my servant also be. If any one serve me, him will my Father honor.

And he said: Yes, rather blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and they beat against that house, and it fell not: for it was founded on the rock.
