And he said: This will I do: I will pull down my barns and I will build larger ones; and there I will store ail my produce, and my good things; and I will say to my soul: Soul, you have many good things laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry. But God said to him: Senseless man, this night shall your soul be required of you; and who shall have the things which you have provided?
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out.
and saying: Men, why are you doing these things? We also are human beings, with passions like your own, and we preach the gospel to you, that you may turn from these vanities to the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them;
because you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver or gold, from your vain mode of life received by tradition from your fathers,
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in abundance.
till we all come to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to a measure of stature that fully develops the Christ;
And you are complete in him who is the head of all principality and authority:
but he divested himself by taking the form of a servant, and being made in the likeness of men:
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet, for your sakes, he became poor, that you, through his poverty, might become rich.
