They are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your mighty strength and by your powerful hand.
They remembered that God was their protector, and that the sovereign God was their deliverer.
He delivered his people; he ordained that his covenant be observed forever. His name is holy and awesome.
Now, this is what the Lord says, the one who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel: "Don't be afraid, for I will protect you. I call you by name, you are mine.
This is what the Lord, your protector, says, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you how to succeed, who leads you in the way you should go.
For your husband is the one who made you -- the Lord who commands armies is his name. He is your protector, the Holy One of Israel. He is called "God of the entire earth."
For you are our father, though Abraham does not know us and Israel does not recognize us. You, Lord, are our father; you have been called our protector from ancient times.

Since you are precious and special in my sight, and I love you, I will hand over people in place of you, nations in place of your life.

The Lord who rules over all says, "The people of Israel are oppressed. So too are the people of Judah. All those who took them captive are holding them prisoners. They refuse to set them free. But the one who will rescue them is strong. He is known as the Lord who rules over all. He will strongly champion their cause. As a result he will bring peace and rest to the earth, but trouble and turmoil to the people who inhabit Babylonia. "Destructive forces will come against the Babylonians," says the Lord. "They will come against the people who inhabit Babylonia, against her leaders and her men of wisdom.
Give the signal to attack Babylon's wall! Bring more guards! Post them all around the city! Put men in ambush! For the Lord will do what he has planned. He will do what he said he would do to the people of Babylon.
Twist and strain, Daughter Zion, as if you were in labor! For you will leave the city and live in the open field. You will go to Babylon, but there you will be rescued. There the Lord will deliver you from the power of your enemies.
I will signal for them and gather them, for I have already redeemed them; then they will become as numerous as they were before.
The Lord rescues his servants; all who take shelter in him escape punishment.
So this is what the Lord, the one who delivered Abraham, says to the family of Jacob: "Jacob will no longer be ashamed; their faces will no longer show their embarrassment.
As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that as the last he will stand upon the earth.
You will free me from the net they hid for me, for you are my place of refuge. Into your hand I entrust my life; you will rescue me, O Lord, the faithful God.
He delivered them from the power of the one who hated them, and rescued them from the power of the enemy.
Let those delivered by the Lord speak out, those whom he delivered from the power of the enemy,
"I will deliver you from the power of the wicked. I will free you from the clutches of violent people."
For the Lord will rescue the descendants of Jacob. He will secure their release from those who had overpowered them.
O Israel, hope in the Lord, for the Lord exhibits loyal love, and is more than willing to deliver. He will deliver Israel from all the consequences of their sins.
"A protector comes to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their rebellious deeds," says the Lord.
Woe to them! For they have fled from me! Destruction to them! For they have rebelled against me! I want to deliver them, but they have lied to me.
But I have integrity! Rescue me and have mercy on me!
Zion will be freed by justice, and her returnees by righteousness. All rebellious sinners will be shattered, those who abandon the Lord will perish.
But God will rescue my life from the power of Sheol; certainly he will pull me to safety. (Selah)
As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that as the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God, whom I will see for myself, and whom my own eyes will behold, and not another. My heart grows faint within me.
He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

He passed through the greater and more perfect tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, and he entered once for all into the most holy place not by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood, and so he himself secured eternal redemption.
You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed -- not by perishable things like silver or gold, but by precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ.
