They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be parted. By his sneezings a light flashes, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostrils goes smoke, as out of a boiling pot or caldron. His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth. In his neck remains strength, and sorrow is turned into dancing before him. The folds of his flesh are joined together: they are firm on him; they cannot be moved. His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the lower millstone. When he raises up himself, the mighty are afraid: because of his crashings they are beside themselves. The sword of him that reaches him cannot avail: neither the spear, the dart, nor the javelin. He regards iron as straw, and bronze as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee: clingstones with him are turned into stubble. Darts are counted as straw: he laughs at the threat of a javelin. His undersides are like sharp stones: he spreads sharp pointed marks upon the mire. He makes the deep boil like a pot: he makes the sea like a pot of ointment. He leaves a path shining after him; one would think the deep to have white hair. Upon earth there is not his like, which is made without fear. He beholds every high thing: he is a king over all the children of pride.
You broke the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gave him to be food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
There go the ships: there is that leviathan, which you have made to play therein.
And the LORD said unto him, By what means? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You shall persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get you behind me, Satan: you are an offense unto me: for you consider not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor be in vain.
In whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the way side.
