But how then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen in this way?" At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. But all this has taken place, that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.

The Son of Man goes just as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born."

And he began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."

For these are days of vengeance, to fulfil all that is written.

And he said to them, "O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them the things concerning himself in all the scriptures.

But now the righteousness of God has been revealed apart from law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it,

But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled.

Of him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen:

These preparations having thus been made, the priests go continually into the outer tabernacle, performing their ritual duties. This is symbolic for the present time. According to this arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper, since they relate only to food and drink and various washings regulations for the flesh imposed until the time of reformation. But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, he entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves, but he entered the holy place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

You know that you were redeemed from the futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

He who saw it has testified, and his testimony is true, and he knows that he tells the truth, that you also may believe.

You are witnesses of these things.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

This is the disciple who testifies to these things, and who wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth."

We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

Therefore he also says in another Psalm, 'You will not let your Holy One see decay.'

because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given proof to all men by raising him from the dead."

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit who dwells in you.

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and so is your faith. More than that, we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.

Through him you have confidence in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you by the grace of Christ and turning to a different gospel which is really not another gospel; but there are some who are disturbing you, and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we preached to you, let him be accursed!read more.
As we have said before, so I say again now, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed!

For no other foundation can any one lay than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every Spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of the Antichrist, of which you have heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already.
