This also comes forth from the LORD of the hosts to make his counsel wonderful, and to increase wisdom.

Do not multiply thyself speaking great and lofty things; let arrogant words cease from your mouth, for the LORD is the all-knowing God, and the magnificent works are his.

Great is our Lord and of great power; his intelligence is infinite.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How incomprehensible are his judgments and his ways past finding out!

Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard that the God of the age is the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth? He does not faint, nor is he weary; and there is no one that can attain to his intelligence.

He is wise in heart and mighty in strength; who has hardened himself against him and remained in peace?

But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? Man never knew its price; neither is it found in the land of the living. The deep saith, It is not in me; and the sea saith, It is not with me.read more.
It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for its price. It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx or the sapphire. Gold cannot equal it, nor can diamond; neither shall it be exchanged for vessels of fine gold. No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls; for wisdom is better than precious stones. The emerald of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold. Where then does wisdom come from? And where is the place of understanding? Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living and kept concealed from every fowl of the heaven. Hell and death say, We have heard its fame with our ears. God understands its way, and he alone knows its place. For he looks unto the ends of the earth and sees under the whole heaven,

O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts more than your thoughts.

Shall he teach God knowledge, seeing he judges those that are high?

He that makes the earth by his power, he that orders the world with his wisdom and extends the heavens with his intelligence:

To make a weight for the wind and to supply water by measure, when he made a law for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunders. Then he saw it and counted it; he prepared it and also searched it out.

Hearken unto this, Job; stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God. Dost thou know when God disposed them and caused the light of his cloud to shine? Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of the one who is perfect in knowledge?

O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom thou hast made them all; the earth is full of thy riches.

To him that by intelligence made the heavens: for his mercy endures for ever.

The LORD by wisdom has founded the earth; by intelligence has he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the heavens drop down the dew.

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and prepared the heavens with his palm and with three fingers measured the dust of the earth and weighed the mountains in a balance and the hills with weights? Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD or being his counsellor has taught him? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him? Who taught him in the path of judgment and taught him knowledge and showed unto him the way of intelligence?

The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up with eternal dominion, from the beginning, before the earth was. I was begotten before the depths, before the existence of the fountains of many waters.read more.

With him is wisdom and strength; he has counsel and intelligence. Behold, he shall break down, and it shall not be built again; he shall shut up a man, and no one shall be able to open unto him. With him is strength and existence; he who errs and he who leads astray are his. He causes the counsellors to walk away stripped of counsel and makes the judges to be fools. He looses the bond of kings and girds their loins with a girdle. He leads priests away spoiled and overthrows the mighty. He impedes the lips of those that speak the truth and takes away the counsel of the aged. He pours contempt upon princes and weakens the strength of the mighty. He uncovers the depths of the darkness and brings out to light the shadow of death. He multiplies the Gentiles and destroys them; he scatters the Gentiles and gathers them again. He takes away the heart of the heads of the people of the earth and causes them to become lost, wandering without a way. They grope in the darkness and not the light, and he causes them to err like drunken men.

And Daniel spoke and said, Blessed be the name of God from age to age for wisdom and might are his; and it is he that changes the times and the opportunities; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom unto the wise and knowledge unto those that know understanding: He reveals that which is deep and hidden; he knows what is in darkness, and the light dwells with him.

And thou, Solomon, my son, know thou the God of thy father and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing soul, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Thou knowest my sitting down and my rising up, thou dost understand my thoughts from afar.

But of him ye are reborn in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government is placed upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called The Wonderful One, The Counsellor, The God, The Mighty One, The Eternal Father, The Prince of Peace.

And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD,

but unto those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in charity and in all the riches of the fulfilled understanding to know the mystery of the God and Father and of the Christ; in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

For that which is foolish of God is wiser than men, and that which is weak of God is stronger than men.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those that perish, but unto us who are saved, it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the philosopher of this world? For the LORD gives wisdom; out of his mouth comes knowledge and intelligence.

But God has revealed this unto us by his Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the things of man, except the spirit of man which is in him? Even so no one has known the things of God, but the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that God has given us. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but with doctrine of the Holy Spirit, jointly fitting spiritual things by spiritual means. But the natural man does not perceive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he understand them because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual discerns all things, yet he is discerned by no one. For who has known the understanding of the Lord? Who has instructed him? But we have the understanding of Christ.

And if any of you lacks wisdom, let them ask of God (who gives abundantly to all, and without reproach), and it shall be given them.

And the LORD replied unto Samuel, Do not look on his countenance or on the height of his stature because I have refused him, for it is not as man sees, for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.

And all Israel heard of that judgment which the king had judged, and they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to judge.

Does the plowman plow all day to sow? does he open and break the clods of his ground? When he has levelled the face thereof, does he not cast abroad the fitches and scatter the cummin and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rye in their place?
