The Chaldeans answered the king, “No one on earth can make known what the king requests. Consequently, no king, however great and powerful, has ever asked anything like this of any diviner-priest, medium, or Chaldean.

Then the iron, the fired clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were shattered and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors. The wind carried them away, and not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

Beware, I am against you.This is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.I will make your chariots go up in smokeand the sword will devour your young lions.I will cut off your prey from the earth,and the sound of your messengerswill never be heard again.

He stands and shakes the earth;He looks and startles the nations.The age-old mountains break apart;the ancient hills sink down.His pathways are ancient.

You took the sheath from Your bow;the arrows are ready to be used with an oath.SelahYou split the earth with rivers.

Therefore, wait for Me—this is the Lord’s declaration—until the day I rise up for plunder.For My decision is to gather nations,to assemble kingdoms,in order to pour out My indignation on them,all My burning anger;for the whole earth will be consumedby the fire of My jealousy.

Yes, at that timeI will deal with all who afflict you.I will save the lame and gather the scattered;I will make those who were disgracedthroughout the earthreceive praise and fame.

At that time I will bring you back,yes, at the time I will gather you.I will give you fame and praiseamong all the peoples of the earth,when I restore your fortunes before your eyes.Yahweh has spoken.
