'Ears' in the Bible

Then Aaron replied to them, “Take off the gold rings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters and bring them to me.”

So all the people took off the gold rings that were on their ears and brought them to Aaron.

Yet to this day the Lord has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.

I called to the Lord in my distress;I called to my God.From His temple He heard my voice,and my cry for help reached His ears.

Because your raging against Meand your arrogance have reached My ears,I will put My hook in your noseand My bit in your mouth;I will make you go backthe way you came.

Now, my God,please let Your eyes be openand Your ears attentiveto the prayer of this place.

My eyes will now be open and My ears attentive to prayer from this place.

let Your eyes be open and Your ears be attentive to hear Your servant’s prayer that I now pray to You day and night for Your servants, the Israelites. I confess the sins we have committed against You. Both I and my father’s house have sinned.

A word was brought to me in secret;my ears caught a whisper of it.

Look, my eyes have seen all this;my ears have heard and understood it.

Pay close attention to my words;let my declaration ring in your ears.

Dreadful sounds fill his ears;when he is at peace, a robber attacks him.

Abaddon and Death say,“We have heard news of it with our ears.”

He uncovers their ears at that timeand terrifies them with warnings,

He opens their ears to correctionand insists they repent from iniquity.

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,and His ears are open to their cry for help.

You do not delight in sacrifice and offering;You open my ears to listen.You do not ask for a whole burnt offering or a sin offering.

They have venom like the venom of a snake,like the deaf cobra that stops up its ears,

The one who shuts his ears to the cry of the poorwill himself also call out and not be answered.

A person who is passing by and meddles in a quarrel that’s not hisis like one who grabs a dog by the ears.

Dull the minds of these people;deafen their ears and blind their eyes;otherwise they might see with their eyesand hear with their ears,understand with their minds,turn back, and be healed.

His delight will be in the fear of the Lord.He will not judgeby what He sees with His eyes,He will not execute justiceby what He hears with His ears,

and whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: “This is the way. Walk in it.”

Then the eyes of those who see will not be closed,and the ears of those who hear will listen.

The one who lives righteouslyand speaks rightly,who refuses gain from extortion,whose hand never takes a bribe,who stops his ears from listening to murderous plotsand shuts his eyes to avoid endorsing evil—

Then the eyes of the blind will be opened,and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

Bring out a people who are blind, yet have eyes,and are deaf, yet have ears.

Nations will see and be ashamedof all their power.They will put their hands over their mouths,and their ears will become deaf.

But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder; they closed their ears so they could not hear.

Anyone who has ears should listen!

Anyone who has ears should listen!”

For this people’s heart has grown callous;their ears are hard of hearing,and they have shut their eyes;otherwise they might see with their eyesand hear with their ears,understand with their heartsand turn back—and I would cure them.

“But your eyes are blessed because they do see, and your ears because they do hear!

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s kingdom. Anyone who has ears should listen!

If this reaches the governor’s ears, we will deal with him and keep you out of trouble.”

Then He said, “Anyone who has ears to hear should listen!”

If anyone has ears to hear, he should listen!”

[If anyone has ears to hear, he should listen!]”

So He took him away from the crowd privately. After putting His fingers in the man’s ears and spitting, He touched his tongue.

Immediately his ears were opened, his speech difficulty was removed, and he began to speak clearly.

Do you have eyes, and not see, and do you have ears, and not hear? And do you not remember?

For you see, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped for joy inside me!

as it is written:God gave them a spirit of insensitivity,eyes that cannot seeand ears that cannot hear,to this day.

Look! The pay that you withheld from the workers who reaped your fields cries out, and the outcry of the harvesters has reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.

because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteousand His ears are open to their request.But the face of the Lord is againstthose who do what is evil.
