'Good' in the Bible
Many are saying, “Oh, that we might see some good!”Lift up the light of Your face upon us, O Lord.
The [spiritually ignorant] fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”They are corrupt, they have committed repulsive and unspeakable deeds;There is no one who does good.
They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt;There is no one who does good, not even one.
I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord;I have no good besides You.”
The [boundary] lines [of the land] have fallen for me in pleasant places;Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.
For You meet him with blessings of good things;You set a crown of pure gold on his head.
Good and upright is the Lord;Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;Be strong and let your heart take courage;Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good;How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him.
Who is the man who desires lifeAnd loves many days, that he may see good?
Turn away from evil and do good;Seek peace and pursue it.
They repay me evil for good,To the sorrow of my soul.
The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful;He has ceased to be wise and to do good.
He plans wrongdoing on his bed;He sets himself on a path that is not good;He does not reject or despise evil.
Trust [rely on and have confidence] in the Lord and do good;Dwell in the land and feed [securely] on His faithfulness.
The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord,And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].
Depart from evil and do good;And you will dwell [securely in the land] forever.
They repay evil for good, they attack and try to kill me,Because I follow what is good.
I was mute and silent [before my enemies],I refrained even from good,And my distress grew worse.
By Your favor do good to Zion;May You rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
You love evil more than good,And falsehood more than speaking what is right. Selah.
I will thank You forever, because You have done it, [You have rescued me and kept me safe].I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.

With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to You;I will give thanks and praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good.
Truly God is good to Israel,To those who are pure in heart.
But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God;I have made the Lord God my refuge and placed my trust in Him,That I may tell of all Your works.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor;No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Indeed, the Lord will give what is good,And our land will yield its produce.
For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive [our sins, sending them away, completely letting them go forever and ever];And abundant in lovingkindness and overflowing in mercy to all those who call upon You.
It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord,To sing praises to Your name, O Most High,
For the Lord is good;His mercy and lovingkindness are everlasting,His faithfulness [endures] to all generations.
Who satisfies your years with good things,So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle.

For He satisfies the parched throat,And fills the hungry appetite with what is good.

But You, O God, the Lord, show kindness to me, for Your name’s sake;Because Your lovingkindness (faithfulness, compassion) is good, O rescue me;
The [reverent] fear of the Lord is the beginning (the prerequisite, the absolute essential, the alphabet) of wisdom;A good understanding and a teachable heart are possessed by all those who do the will of the Lord;His praise endures forever.

Turn away my reproach which I dread,For Your ordinances are good.
Teach me good judgment (discernment) and knowledge,For I have believed and trusted and relied on Your commandments.
You are good and do good;Teach me Your statutes.
It is good for me that I have been afflicted,That I may learn Your statutes.
Be the guarantee for Your servant for good [as Judah was the guarantee for Benjamin];Do not let the arrogant oppress me.
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God [which is Jerusalem],I will seek your (the city’s) good.
Do good, O Lord, to those who are goodAnd to those who are upright in their hearts.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it isFor brothers to dwell together in unity!
Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good;Sing praises to His name, for it is gracious and lovely.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;For His lovingkindness (graciousness, mercy, compassion) endures forever.
Teach me to do Your will [so that I may please You],For You are my God;Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
The Lord is good to all,And His tender mercies are over all His works [the entirety of things created].
Praise the Lord!For it is good to sing praises to our [gracious and majestic] God;Praise is becoming and appropriate.
