'Die' in the Bible
They went to him and woke him up. "Lord!" they cried, "Save us! We're going to die!"
Peter told him, "Even if I have to die with you, I will never deny you!" And all the disciples said the same thing.

Caiaphas was the person who had advised the Jews that it was better to have one man die for the people.
The Jewish leaders told him, "It is not legal for us to put anyone to death." This was to fulfill what Jesus had said when he indicated the kind of death he was to die.
The Jewish leaders answered Pilate, "We have a law, and according to that Law he must die because he made himself out to be the Son of God."
So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple wasn't going to die. Yet Jesus didn't say to Peter that he wasn't going to die, but, "If it's my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you?"
"Look, you mockers! Be amazed and die! Since I am performing an action in your days, one that you would not believe even if someone told you!'"
At this Paul replied, "What do you mean by crying and breaking my heart? I'm ready not only to be tied up in Jerusalem but even to die for the name of the Lord Jesus!"
If I'm guilty and have done something that deserves death, I'm willing to die. But if there is nothing to their charges against me, no one can hand me over to them as a favor. I appeal to the emperor!"
Although they know God's just requirement that those who practice such things deserve to die they not only do these things but even applaud others who practice them.
