why then dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou think contemptibly of thy brother? since we shall all of us be brought before the judgment-seat of Christ. for it is written, "as I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to God." Since then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God;
for we must all appear before the tribunal of Christ; that every one may receive the retribution, according as his actions in the body were either good or evil.

When the son of man shall come in his majesty, accompanied with all his holy angels, he shall sit upon the throne of his glory. then all nations shall be assembled before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
therefore suspend your judgment till the Lord comes, who will bring to light the secrets of darkness, and expose the counsels of mens hearts: and then shall every man have his due reward from God.
As for that day of the Lord, it will advance like a thief: then the heavens will rush with violence, the boiling elements will be dissolved, and the earth with all its contents, shall be burnt away.
Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse appear'd; and he that sat upon him was called the faithful and the true: in righteousness he judges and makes war:

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law: that every one may be silenc'd, and all the world plead guilty before God.
I declare unto you, he that heareth my doctrine, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come under condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
much more then being now justified by his blood, shall we thro' him be delivered from the wrath to come.
but when we are punished, we are chastised by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
the divine love to us will be in the highest degree, if our condition in this world be the same as was that of Christ Jesus; so that we may appear with confidence in the day of judgment.
now if upon this foundation somebody builds gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble: he that builds such work, will be expos'd. for the time of tryal will show it: it shall be discovered by the fire, which will put each sort of work to the test. if the work abide which somebody has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.read more.
if that man's work should be burnt, he will suffer loss: but should he himself escape, it will be as out of the fire.
I conjure you in the name of God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is to judge the living and the dead, at his appearance in his kingdom,
as some do; but encourage one another: even so much the more, as you see the day approaching.
As for you, my brethren, bear your sufferings with constancy, till the advent of the Lord. the farmer, from the prospect of a golden crop, patiently expects the showers of the spring and the autumn. be you equally patient, and exercise your fortitude, for the advent of the Lord is nigh. don't repine, my brethren, against one another, for fear you should be condemn'd. behold, the judge is at the gate.
and they cried with a loud voice, saying, "how long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou defer doing justice, and avenging our blood on those that dwell on the earth?" and white robes were given to every one of them, and it was said unto them, that they should have patience yet for a little while, till the number of their fellow-servants, and their brethren, that should be killed, as they were, should be complete.
Since then this whole system is to be destroyed, how holy should your conduct be, and how ardent your piety? expecting, and vehemently desiring the day of the Lord would come, when the heavens all on fire shall be dissolv'd, and the elements shall melt with intense heat. As for us, in consequence of his promise, we expect a new heaven, and a new earth, where justice shall reside.
