'Be Ready' in the Bible
Be ready to make friends with your opponent, even when you meet him on your way to the court; for fear that he should hand you over to the judge, and the judge to his officer, and you should be thrown into prison.
Therefore, you [who follow Me] must also be ready; because the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.
And he spoke to his disciples that a little boat should be ready for him, because of the crowd, lest they should press upon him:
Jesus said, "Do not stop him; no one who performs any miracle in my name will be ready to speak evil of me.
He is the one who will go before the Lord with the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, and to prepare the people to be ready for the Lord."
“Be ready for service and have your lamps lit.
You too, be continually ready; because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.”
Then He said to Thomas, "Bring your finger here and feel my hands; bring you hand and put it into my side; and do not be ready to disbelieve but to believe."

Be ready to rejoice with those who rejoice; to weep with those who weep;
I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Even now you are still not ready.
Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
Once your obedience is complete, we will be ready to reprimand every type of disobedience.
Be ready with the good news of peace as shoes on your feet;
that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
Be ready to do without the comforts of life, as one of the army of Christ Jesus.
preach the word, be ready in season [and] out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all patience and instruction.
Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
who are always guarded by the power of God through faith, in order that you may receive that final salvation which will be ready to be uncovered for you at the last time.
and the Lord God sanctify in your hearts. And be ready always for defence to every one who is asking of you an account concerning the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
Wherefore I shall be ready always to put you in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the truth which is with you .
In this we know his love, that He laid down his life for us: and we should be ready to lay down our lives for the brethren.
