'In Me' in the Bible
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Go and learn, what that meaneth: 'I have pleasure in mercy, and not in offering.' For I am not come to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance."
But whosoever offend one of these little ones, which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones, that believe in me: it were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were cast into the sea.
For I say unto you that, yet, that which is written must be performed in me: for those things which are written of me have an end."
He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me: and I in him.
But if I do: though ye believe not me, yet believe the works, that ye may know and believe that the father is in me, and I in him."
And he said unto his disciples, "Let not your hearts be troubled: believe in God, and believe in me.
Believest thou not that I am in the father, and the father in me? The words that I speak unto you, I speak not of myself: but the father that dwelleth in me is he that doeth the works.
Believe me, that I am in the father, and the father in me. At the least believe me for the very works' sake.
That day shall ye know that I am in my father, and you in me, and I in you.
Hereafter will I not talk many words unto you. For the chief ruler of this world cometh, and hath nought in me.
Every branch that beareth not fruit in me, he will take away. And every branch that beareth fruit will he purge, that it may bring more fruit.
Abide in me, and let me abide in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, and ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me can ye do nothing.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered: and men gather it and cast it into the fire, and it burneth.
If ye abide in me, and my words also abide in you: ask what ye will, and it shall be done to you.
These words have I spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. For in the world shall ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
that they all may be one, as thou father art in me, and I in thee; that they may be also one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
I am in them, and thou art in me: that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Then sent they in men which said, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God,"
And he said, "Ye men, brethren, and fathers, hearken to. The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham while he was yet in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,
Howbeit, certain men clave unto Paul and believed, among the which was Dionysius a senator, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
or else let these same here say, if they have found any evildoing in me, while I stand here in the council,
to open their eyes that they might turn from darkness unto light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith in me.'
Which, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because they found no cause of death in me.
Likewise, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the Gospel to you of Rome also.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid: but I knew not what sin meant but by the law. For I had not known what lust had meant, except the law had said, "Thou shalt not lust."
But sin took an occasion by the means of the commandment, and wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For verily, without the law sin was dead.
Was that, then, which is good made death unto me? God forbid. Nay, sin was death unto me, that it might appear: how that sin by the means of that which is good, had wrought death in me: that sin which is under the commandment, might be out of measure sinful.
So then, now it is not I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
For I know that in me, that is to say, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing. To will is present with me: but I find no means to perform that which is good.
Finally, if I do that I would not, then is it not I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me doeth it.
even so, now, have they not believed the mercy which is happened unto you; that they also may obtain mercy.
Therefore let no man rejoice in men. For all things are yours,
But by the grace of God I am that I am. And his grace which is in me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which is with me.
If the truth of Christ be in me, this rejoicing shall not be taken from me in the regions of Achaia.
and he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee. For my strength is made perfect through weakness." Very gladly therefore will I rejoice of my weakness, that the strength of Christ may dwell in me.
seeing that ye seek experience of Christ which speaketh in me, which among you is not weak, but is mighty in you.
For he that was mighty in Peter in the apostleship over the circumcision, the same was mighty in me among the gentiles -
I am crucified with Christ. I live verily, yet now not I, but Christ liveth in me. For the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the son of God, which loved me, and gave himself for me.
But God, which is rich in mercy through his great love wherewith he loved us,
that nothing be done through strife or vain glory, but that in meekness of mind every man esteem others better than himself,
which ye have both learned and received, heard and also seen in me: those things do, and the God of peace shall be with you.
Wherein I also labour and strive, even as far forth as his working worketh in me mightily.
and one that can suffer the evil in meekness, and can inform them that resist - if that God at any time will give them repentance for to know the truth -
If any man be wise and endued with learning among you, let him show the works of his good conversation in meekness that is coupled with wisdom.
