If only you had listened to my commandments! Your peace would be like a river that never runs dry. Your righteousness would be like waves on the sea.
There is no peace for the wicked, says Jehovah.
Jehovah says: Do not enter a house of mourning, or go to lament or to console them. I have withdrawn my peace from this people, declares Jehovah, even my loving kindness and compassion.
Through his policy he will cause deceit to prosper in his hand. He will boast about himself in his heart. In their security they will destroy many. He will even stand up against the prince of princes; but he will be destroyed without human power.
A contemptible person will stand in his place. He will be one whom they had not given the honor of the kingdom. He will come in time of security, and will obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
In time of security he will come even upon the richest places of the province. He will do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers. He will scatter among them prey, and spoil, and substance. He will devise his devices against the strongholds, even for a time.
The glory of this house will be greater than it was before. I will give my people peace. Jehovah of Hosts has spoken.
I will destroy the war chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem. The battle bow will be dismantled. He will speak peace to the nations! His dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
You will know I sent this commandment to you! This way my covenant with Levi will continue, said Jehovah of Hosts.

We are justified (acquitted) (made righteous) by faith. And we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The mind of sinful flesh (fleshly thought) means death; but the mind influenced by the Spirit gives life and peace.
The God of peace be with you all. Amen.
All things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ. He gave the ministry of reconciliation to us. God was reconciling the world to himself through Christ. This term is used to express the present attitude and testimony of God toward man consequent on the declaration of God's righteousness in the death of Christ. The state of man which was obnoxious to the holiness of God by reason of sin has been removed in the cross. Hence the believer is justified by faith, and has peace (peace of conscience) with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Ro 5:1. Christ made peace through the blood of the cross, Col 1:20 and to the Christian God is 'the God of peace,' and the Lord Jesus is 'the Lord of peace.' He also is peace between believers, having on the cross broken down the barrier between Jew and Gentile. Eph 2:14-15.
When the Lord Jesus left the earth He left to the disciples peace, and said, "My peace I give unto you." Peace is also spoken of as the state of heart in which a believer is kept in regard of circumstances. The record in the O.T. is, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace (peace, peace, margin) whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee." Isa 26:3. The Christian makes his requests known unto God, and the peace of God that passeth all understanding keeps his heart and mind through Christ Jesus (peace of heart). Php 4:6-7. Blessed privilege! and what a contrast to "There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked." Isa 57:21 The Lord Jesus will, in the future, among His other titles, be hailed as PRINCE OF PEACE. Isa 9:6.
