The singers: the children of Asaph, a hundred twenty and eight.

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel.

Now because we receive support from the king's palace, and it was not proper for us to see the king's dishonor, therefore have we sent and informed the king;

And they delivered the king's orders unto the king's satraps, and to the governors on this side the river: and they aided the people, and the house of God.
