A song of ascents. I look up toward the hills. From where does my help come?

Look! The one who is guarding Israel never sleeps and does not take naps.

A song of ascents, by Solomon. If the Lord does not build a house, then those who build it work in vain. If the Lord does not guard a city, then the watchman stands guard in vain.

With which the reaper does not fill his hand,
Or the binder of sheaves his bosom;

I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait,
And in His word do I hope.

The LORD does whatever pleases him in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all its deep regions.

[Those who] make them become like them, [as does] everyone who trusts in them.

To the one who alone does great and wondrous things, for his gracious love is everlasting

O daughter of Babylon, whose fate is destruction; happy is the man who does to you what you have done to us.

Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without you, O Lord, being thoroughly aware of it.

even the darkness doesn't hide from you, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to you.

The LORD is good to everyone and his mercies extend to everything he does.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your authority endures from one generation to another. God is faithful about everything he says and merciful in everything he does.

The Lord is just in all his actions, and exhibits love in all he does.

The LORD does build up Jerusalem: he gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

He does not delight in the strength of the horse;
He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man.
