And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High; for you shall go before the face of the Lord, to make ready his ways,

which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

And it came to pass, that he was in one of their cities; and behold, a man full of leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and besought him, saying: Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way be fore thee.
