but these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all readiness, examining the Scriptures daily [to see] if these things were so.

and saying, Men, why do you do these things? We are also men subject to like sufferings with you, preaching that you should turn from these vain [services] to the living God, who made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all things in them,

And all who believed were together and had all things common;

Immediately therefore I sent to you, and you have done well to come. Now therefore we are all present before God to hear all things which God has commanded you.

The God who made the world and all things in it, this [God] being Lord of heaven and earth dwells not in temples made with hands,
