AT that time Jesus went through the grain fields on the sabbath; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pick the heads and eat.
And the Pharisees seeing it, said to him, Behold, your disciples do what it is not lawful to do on the sabbath.
Or have you not read in the law, that the priests profane the sabbath in the temple, and are blameless?
and behold a man having a withered hand [was there]. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath? that they might accuse him.
And he said to them, What man is there of you having one sheep, who if this falls into a pit on the sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out?
How much then is a man better than a sheep! So that it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.
But pray that your flight may not be in the winter, nor on the Sabbath;

And they entered into Capernaum, and immediately on the sabbath he taught in the synagogues.

And he said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? And they were silent.
And when it was the sabbath, he taught in the synagogue; and many heard him and were astonished, and said, Whence has this man these things? and what is the wisdom given to him? And [what are] these mighty works done by his hands?
And when it was now evening, because it was the preparation, which is before the sabbath,
And when the sabbath was passed, Mary the Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.
And he came to Nazareth, where he was brought up, and entered, according to his custom on the sabbath day, into the synagogue, and stood up to read.
AND he went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath;
And on the second-first sabbath he went through the grain fields, and his disciples picked the heads and eat, rubbing them in their hands.
And some of the Pharisees said, Why do you do what is not lawful on the sabbath?
And he said to them, The Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath.
And on another sabbath he went into the synagogue and taught. And there was a man there whose right hand was withered.
And the scribes and Pharisees watched him [to see] if he would perform a cure on the sabbath, that they might find [something of which] to accuse him.
And Jesus said to them, I will ask you whether it is lawful on the sabbath to do good or to do evil? to save a life or to destroy?
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath,
And the synagogue ruler answered, being angry because Jesus had performed a cure on the sabbath, and said to the multitude, There are six days in which you ought to work; in them, therefore, come and be cured, and not on the sabbath.
Then the Lord answered him and said, Hypocrites, does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his ass from the manger, and lead him away to drink?
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, behold, eighteen years, to be released from this bond on the sabbath?
AND he came into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath; and they watched him closely.
And Jesus answered and said to the lawyers and Pharisees, Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath, or not?
And he answered and said to them, If a son or an ox of any of you shall fall into a pit, will he not immediately take him out on the sabbath day?
And the day was the preparation; the sabbath was dawning.
And they returned and prepared spices and ointments, and rested on the sabbath, according to the commandment.
And the man immediately became well, and took up his bed and walked. That day was the sabbath.
The Jews, therefore, said to him that was cured, It is the sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry the bed.
and on this account the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he had done these things on the sabbath.
Then, for this reason, the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath but also said, that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
Moses gave you circumcision, not that it is of Moses but of the fathers, and you circumcise a man on the sabbath.
If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a man entirely sound on the sabbath?
and it was on the sabbath when Jesus made the paste and opened his eyes.

Let no man therefore judge you in eating and in drinking, or in respect to a feast, or new moon, or sabbath,
