Please receive the Law from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart.

If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up; you shall put away injustice far from your tents.

There the righteous might reason with Him; and I would be delivered forever from my Judge.

nor have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I treasured the words of His mouth more than my portion.

because I was not cut off before the darkness; yea, He covered the darkness from my face.

Since times are not hidden from the Almighty, why do those who know Him not see His days?

They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge from the poor.

They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaves from the hungry.

Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded cries for help; yet God does not charge foolishness.

To whom have you spoken words? And whose spirit came from you?

Far be it from me that I should justify you; until I die I will not retract my integrity from me.

This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the inheritance of cruel men which they shall receive from the Almighty.

He opens a shaft far from the visitor; they are forgotten by man's foot; they hang far away from men, they swing to and fro.

He holds back the floods from overflowing; and the hidden thing, He brings to light.

From where then does wisdom come, and where is the place of understanding?

Yea, it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and hidden from the birds of the heavens.

And to man He said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom! And to depart from evil is understanding!

The rulers held back from talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.

Also, what profit for me was the strength of their hands, for full vigor had perished from them?

They are driven forth from the midst; they cried against them as a thief.

They despise me, and they flee far from me; they do not spare spit from my face.

For what is the portion from God above? And what is the inheritance from the Almighty on high?

If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

for from my youth he grew up with me, as with a father, and from my mother's womb I guided her;

then let my arm fall from the shoulder blade, and let my arm be broken from the elbow.

For trouble from God is a terror to me, and I could not do anything because of His highness.

And these three men ceased from answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

my words shall be from my upright heart, and my lips will clearly speak knowledge.

so that He may turn man from his act, that He might hide pride from man.

He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

then He is gracious to him and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit; for I have found a ransom.

He has redeemed my soul from passing over into the Pit, and my life shall see the light.

to bring back his soul from the Pit, to be lighted with the light of the living.

Therefore listen to me, O man of heart; far be it from God to commit iniquity; and from the Almighty, to do wrong.

because thus they turned from following Him, and they did not consider all His ways;

from the reigning of ungodly men, from being snares for the people.

If you are righteous, what do you give Him? Or what does He receive from your hand?

From the host of tyrannies they cry out; they cry out because of the arm of the multitude.

I will bring my knowledge from afar, and I will credit righteousness to my Maker.

He withdraws not His eyes from the righteous, but they are like kings on the throne; yes, He causes them to sit forever, and they are very high.

He also opens their ears to teaching, and commands that they return from iniquity.

And He also would have lured you from the mouth of distress to a wide place not cramped; and the setting of your table would be full of fatness.

Out of the storeroom comes the tempest; and cold from scattering winds.

You whose clothes warm when He quiets the earth from the south wind?

Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth as it came from the womb?

Have you commanded the morning from your days, and caused the dawn to know its place,

And from the wicked their light is withheld, and the high arm shall be broken.

He mocks at fear, and is not terrified; and he does not turn back from the sword.

From there he seeks food, and his eyes see afar off.

The mighty are afraid from his rising; they are beside themselves from the crashing.

I know that You can do all, and not any purpose is withheld from You.

Let us break their bands in two and cast away their cords from us.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled in but a little time. Blessed are all who put their trust in Him.

You shall keep them, O Jehovah, You shall preserve them from this generation forever.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long will You forget me, O Jehovah? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

Jehovah looked down from Heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who understood and sought God.

Oh my soul, you have said to Jehovah, You are my Lord; I have no goodness apart from You.

Let my judgment go out from Your presence; let Your eyes behold uprightly.

Concerning the works of men, by the Words of Your lips, I am kept from the paths of the destroyer.

Set out Your wonderful loving-kindness, O Savior of those seeking refuge in You, by Your right hand, from those who rise up against me.

from the face of the wicked who strip me. Those against my soul, My foes, encircle me.

Arise, O Jehovah, disappoint him, bow him down; deliver my soul from the wicked by Your sword,

from men by Your hand, O Jehovah, from men of the world whose portion is in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your treasure. They are satisfied with sons, and will leave their riches to their babes.

I will call on Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters.

He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those who hated me; for they were too strong for me.

For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

For all His judgments were before me, and I did not put away His Precepts from me.

I was also upright before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.

You have delivered Me from the strivings of the people; You have made Me the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known shall serve Me.

He delivers me from my enemies; yea, You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.

and he comes forth as a bridegroom from his canopy; he rejoices as a strong man to run a race,

going forth from the end of the heavens, and its course is to their ends. And there is nothing hid from its heat.

Who can understand his errors? Oh make me pure from secret faults;

and keep Your servant back from presumptuous sins; do not let them rule over me; then I shall be upright, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.

sending you help from the sanctuary, and upholding you out of Zion.

Now I know that Jehovah saves His anointed; He will hear him from His holy Heaven with the saving strengths of His right hand.

He asked life from You; You give to him length of days forever and ever.

Their fruit shall You destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the sons of men.

I was cast on You from the womb; You are My God from My mother's belly.

Be not far from Me; for trouble is near, for there is none to help.

But You, O Jehovah, be not far from Me; O My strength, hurry to help Me!

Deliver My soul from the sword, My only one from the dog's hand.

Save Me from the lion's mouth; from the wild oxen's horns. You have answered Me.

For He has not despised nor hated the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from him, but when he cried to Him, He heard.

He shall receive the blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Remember, O Jehovah, Your tender mercies and Your loving-kindnesses; for they are from eternity.

One thing I have desired from Jehovah, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to pray in His temple.

Hide not Your face from me. Turn not Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

O Jehovah, You have brought up my soul from the grave; You have kept me alive, so that I should not go down to the Pit.
