Jesus answered them: Is it not written in your law, I said, you are gods?

If he called them gods, to whom the word of God was committed, (and the scripture can not be made void,)

saying to Aaron: Make us gods that shall go be fore us; for, as for this Moses, who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what has become of him.

"When the multitude saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice, and said, in the Carletonian language: The Gods have come down to us in the likeness of men.

and you see and hear, that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost the whole of Asia, this Paul, by his persuasions, has drawn away a great multitude, saying, that they which are made with hands are not gods.

For though there are those which are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, (as there are many gods, and many lords,)

But, then, because you knew not God, you were enslaved to those who, by nature, are not gods:
