And they brought the boy to him. As soon as the spirit saw him, it convulsed the boy, and he fell down on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth.

Then the soldiers took Paul, as they had been ordered to do, and escorted him as far as Antipatris that night.

and you must not offer the parts of your bodies to sin as the instruments of wrong, but offer yourselves to God as men brought back from death to life, and offer the parts of your bodies to him as instruments of uprightness.

The men who went with Paul took him all the way to Athens, and came back with instructions for Silas and Timothy to rejoin him as soon as possible.

Do not look upon him as an enemy but warn him as a brother.

Dear friends, we are God's children now; it has not yet been disclosed what we are to be. We know that if he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Does this happiness apply to those who are circumcised, or to those who are uncircumcised as well? What we say is, Abraham's faith was credited to him as uprightness.

If he refuses to listen to them, tell the congregation. And if he refuses to listen to it, treat him as a heathen or a tax-collector.

Just as Abraham had faith in God and it was credited to him as uprightness.

So if you regard me as a comrade, welcome him as you would me.

This man had been seized by the Jews and they were just going to kill him when I came upon them with my men and rescued him, as I had learned that he was a Roman citizen.

He supposed that his brothers would understand that God was using him as the means of delivering them, but they did not.

and so the Scripture came true that says, "Abraham had faith in God, and it was credited to him as uprightness, and he was called God's friend."

And if you address him as Father who judges everyone impartially by what he does, you must live reverently all the time you stay here,

and recognized him as the man who used to sit and beg at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple, they were perfectly astonished and amazed at what had happened to him.

and begged him as a favor to order Paul to come to Jerusalem, plotting to kill him on the way.

for, though they knew God, they have not honored him as God or given thanks to him, but they have indulged in futile speculations, until their stupid minds have become dark.

but a man who has no work to offer, but has faith in him who can make the ungodly upright, has his faith credited to him as uprightness.

There was but one heart and soul in the multitude who had become believers, and not one of them claimed anything that belonged to him as his own, but they shared everything they had with one another.

for what does the Scripture say? "Abraham had faith in God, and it was credited to him as uprightness."

That was why it was credited to him as uprightness.

Never reprove an older man, but appeal to him as to a father. Treat younger men like brothers,

Come to him, as to a living stone rejected by men, but chosen and prized in the sight of God,

Did you hear his blasphemy? What is your decision?" And they all condemned him as deserving to be put to death.
