But thanks be to God, who has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
This has now been made manifest through the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who has put an end to death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
And then the end, when he shall hand over his kingdom to God his Father, after he has abolished all rule and authority and power. For he must rule until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
