But I have a few things against thee; for thou hast there those that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication. So thou hast also them that hold the like doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which I hate.

I wish thou wert cold or hot. So then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will cast thee out of my mouth: because thou sayst, I am rich, and wealthy, and have want of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. read more.

Have ye forgotten the exhortation, which speaketh to you as to sons, saying, "My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor saint when rebuked by Him? for whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth."

He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest my self to him. Judas (not the Iscariot) saith unto Him, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thy self to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If any one love me, he will observe my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and will make our abode with him.

Therefore I submit to every thing for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is by Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. It is an undoubted truth, if we are dead with Him, we shall also live with Him: if we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we disown Him, He will also disown us.

Ye have continued with me in my temptations; and I appoint you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me: that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, These things saith the Son of God, who hath eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass; I know thy works, and thy love, and thy service, and thy faith, and thy patience, and that thy last works are more than the first. And I gave her time to repent of her fornication, and she repented not. Behold I will cast her into a bed, and those that commit whoredom with her, into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds: and I will cut off her children by death; and all the churches shall know, that I am He who searcheth the reins and hearts, and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. But to you I say, to the rest in Thyatira, As many as do not hold this doctrine, and who are unacquainted with the depths of Satan, as they speak, I will lay on you no other burden: but what ye have hold fast till I come. And to him that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, will I give power over the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken in pieces; as I also have received of my Father; and I will give him the morning-star.

And when He had taken the book, the four animals, and the twenty four elders, fell down before the Lamb, having every one harps and golden vials full of perfumes, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open its seals; for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us to our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

And I saw thrones, and persons sat on them, and judgement was given to them: and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God; and who had not worshipped the beast, nor his image, and received not his mark upon their forehead, and on their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again till the thousand years be finished. This is the first resurrection. Happy and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on these the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

And every curse shall cease: and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve Him. And they shall see his face; and his name shall be on their foreheads. And there shall be no night there: and they have no need of a candle, nor of the light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light; and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Whoever therefore heareth these words of mine, and performeth them, I will compare him to a prudent man, who built his house on a rock: and the rain fell upon it, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock. And whoever heareth these words of mine, and performeth them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: read more.

But why do ye call me, Lord, Lord, and do not practise what I teach you? Whosoever cometh unto me, and heareth my instructions, and observeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man who in building an house digged deep, and laid the foundation upon a rock; and when a flood came, the torrent beat violently against that house, but could not shake it, for it was founded upon a rock.

Verily, verily I tell you, that the time is coming, and even now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew to his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John, who bare witness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, and to whatever He saw. Happy is he that readeth, and those that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is near.

For there have crept in some men, who have been of old described as under this condemnation, impious people, that turn the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and deny God the only Lord, and our Lord Jesus Christ. But I would remind you of this, which ye know already, that though the Lord saved the people out of the land of Egypt, yet He afterwards destroyed those that believed not: and the angels that kept not their primitive state, but left their proper abode, hath He reserved in everlasting chains, under darkness, to the judgement of the great day: read more.
