Let your conversation be free from covetousness, and be contented with what ye have: for He hath said, I will not leave thee; I will never, never forsake thee.
For the love of money is the root of all evils, which some coveting after have been led astray from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends with these unrighteous treasures, that when they fail, ye may be received into everlasting habitations.
So the twelve called the multitude of the disciples to them and said, It is not seemly that we should leave the word of God and attend at tables.
And they sold their possessions and goods, and distributed to all, according as any one had need.
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you set apart something, putting it into the treasury, according as he is prospered: that there may be no need of collections, when I come.

Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not your substance, but your selves. For children are not expected to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

If therefore ye have not been faithful in the false riches, who will intrust you with the true?
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and drove out all that were selling and buying in the court of the temple, and threw down the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves:
And he called ten of his servants, and delivered to them ten pounds, and said, Trade with them till I come.
And let him, that is instructed in the word, communicate in all good things to him that instructeth.
but ye say, If any man say to his father or mother, "that which thou mightest be profited by from me is a gift to the temple,"
