I know that my redeemer lives, and in later days he will take his stand on the earth.

It is time for me to die. Every one of you knows in his heart and very being that Jehovah your God has given you all the good things he promised. Every promise he made has been kept; not one has failed.

Even though an army sets up camp against me, my heart will not be afraid. Even though a war breaks out against me, I will trust in Jehovah.

If it is so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the blazing furnace. He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

She said: If I touch his garments I shall be made whole.

Most excellent Theophilus (Greek: Theo philos: friend of God): I have accurately traced the course of all things from the beginning. Now it seems good to me to write this report to you. In this way you will know with certainty the truth that you were taught.

I count all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. I suffered the loss of all things. Yet I count them as refuse (garbage) (dung) that I may gain Christ.

We know that no one who is born of God practices sin. He who was born from God watches over himself, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the (power of the) (under control of the) evil one. We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding. We know him that is true for we are in him who is true, [and] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and everlasting life.

God did this to offer encouragement so we may rely on the hope offered to us. We have taken refuge in that hope and it is impossible for God to lie. These two things can never be changed.

God is a not man that he should lie. He is not a son of man who changes his mind. Does he ever promise and not fulfill? Does he ever speak and not act? I have been instructed to bless. And when God blesses, I cannot call it back.

Keep in mind that Jehovah your God is the only true God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generations of those who love him and obey his commandments. He destroys everyone who hates him. He never takes long to pay back anyone who hates him.

I will proclaim the name of Jehovah and ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock! His work is perfect. For all His ways are just. He is a God of faithfulness and without evil. He is just and upright.

Lord Jehovah, you are God. You have promised me some very good things, and you can be trusted to do what you promise.

God's way is perfect! The word of Jehovah has proven to be true. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. Who is God but Jehovah? Who is a rock except our God?

Trust in Jehovah forever, for Jah, Jehovah, is the Rock eternal.

Men swear by someone greater then themselves: and an oath for confirmation to them puts an end to the problem. When God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he confirmed it with an oath. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of life. It is a hope that enters into the inner shrine behind the curtain.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcised for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers.

Gideon said to God: You have said you will rescue Israel using me. Look I will place wool on the threshing floor where we thresh the wheat. If in the morning there is dew only on the wool but not on the ground, I will know that you are going to use me to rescue Israel. That is what happened. When Gideon got up early the next morning, he squeezed the wool and wrung enough dew out of it to fill a bowl with water.read more.
Then Gideon said to God: Do not be angry with me. Allow me to speak just once more. Please let me make one more test with the wool. This time let the wool be dry, and the ground wet. That night God did it. The next morning the wool was dry, but the ground was wet with dew.

Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites: This evening you will know that it was Jehovah who brought you out of Egypt. In the morning you will see the glory of Jehovah's presence. He hears your complaints against him. But what are we that you complain against us? Moses said: This will happen when Jehovah gives you meat to eat in the evening, and bread to eat in the morning. Jehovah hears your complaints against him. And what are we? Your complaints are not against us but against Jehovah.

Moses said to Jehovah: It is true that you have told me to lead these people to that land, but you did not tell me whom you would send with me. You said that you know me well and are pleased with me. If you are, tell me your plans, so that I may serve you and continue to please you. Remember also that you have chosen this nation to be your own. When the people saw it, they all went down on their faces. They said: Jehovah is God! Jehovah is God!

Jesus knew that the Father had given him power over all things. He also knew it came from God and he returns it to God.

Then he taught them that the Son of man must suffer many things. The elders, chief priests, and the scribes will reject him. He will be killed and after three days he will rise from the dead.

From that time forward Jesus made it clear to his disciples how he would have to go to Jerusalem. He told them he would undergo much at the hands of the authorities, including the chief priests and scribes. He let them know he would be put to death. The third day he would come back from the dead.

The Son of man must suffer many things, he told them. The elders, chief priests and scribes will reject him and kill him. The third day he will be raised up.

I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and my own know me. Just as the Father knows me I know the Father! I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I will also bring them. They will hear my voice and they will become one flock, one shepherd.read more.

This is the disciple that bears witness of these things, and wrote these things. That way we know that his witness is true.

He who establishes us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God. He also sealed us, and gave us the guarantee of the Spirit in our hearts.

For this reason it is by faith that it may be according to grace (divine influence) (loving-kindness). The promise may be sure to all descendants! This is not only to that which is of the law, but to that also which is by the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.

What shall we then say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He that did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, will he not with him freely give us all things? Who will bring any charge against the ones God has chosen? It is God who justifies (makes righteous).read more.

We know that we know him, when we obey his commandments. He who says: I know him, and does not obey his commandments is a liar! The truth is not in him. Whoever obeys his Word; the love of God is made perfect (complete) (mature) in him. By this we know that we are in union with him.read more.

He who hears but does not do is like a man who built a house upon the earth without a foundation. A flood will send a stream of water and immediately it will fall. The ruin of that house will be great.

This is the confidence that we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. If we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions (requests) that we have asked of him.

Ask and it will be given you. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened for you. Everyone who asks receives. Everyone who seeks finds, and everyone who knocks will have it opened. Who among you, who would give his son a stone when he asks him for bread?read more.

Again, I say to you, that if two of you are in agreement on earth about anything for which they will make a request, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.

Jesus answered: If you have faith and do not doubt, I make this promise to you: You will be able to do what was done to this fig tree. When you say to this mountain, be moved into the sea, it will be done. You will receive the things you ask for in prayer when you have faith.

Jesus answered: Have faith in God. Truly I say faithful ones shall say to this mountain, be cast into the sea and it will happen. There must be no doubt in his heart and he must believe that what he says will come to pass. I tell you, believe that you receive what you pray for and you shall have it.

Whatever you ask in my name, I will do. That way the Father may be glorified because of the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.

No one knows the day or hour. The angels in heaven do not know. The Son of God does not know. Only the Father knows! Be awake (beware) (be cautious and active), watch (perceive) and pray, for you do not know the time. It is similar to a man traveling to another country. He leaves his house and gives authority to his servants to do the work. He commands them to watch.read more.
Watch therefore for you do not know when the lord of the house comes. It could be in the evening, at midnight or in the morning (when the cock crows). He could come suddenly and find you sleeping. What I say to you I say to all, be on the watch (be vigilant) (stay awake) (be circumspect) (attentive and ready)!

When they met they asked him: Lord will you restore the kingdom to Israel at this time? He replied: It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has set within His own authority.
