For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts--murder, adultery, unchastity, theft, perjury, slander.

But we should write to them to abstain from food that has been polluted by being sacrificed to idols, from impurity, from eating the flesh of strangled animals, and from blood.

Nor let us act immorally, as some of them acted, with the result that twenty-three thousand of them fell dead in a single day.

These are the men who never defiled themselves in their intercourse with women; they are as pure as virgins. These are the men who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were redeemed as the first-fruits of mankind for God and for the Lamb.

But, if they cannot control themselves, let them marry, for it is better to marry than to be consumed with passion.

When they were indoors, the disciples asked him again about this, And he said: "Any one who divorces his wife and marries another woman is guilty of adultery against his wife; And, if the woman divorces her husband and marries another man, she is guilty of adultery."

You have heard that it was said--'Thou shalt not commit adultery.' I, however, say to you that any one who looks at a woman with an impure intention has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Do you forbid adultery, and yet commit adultery? Do you loathe idols, and yet plunder temples?
