There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks and those who were tormented with unclean spirits, and they were healed every one.

And she did this for many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith; be it unto thee even as thou desire. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon departed out of him and the child was cured from that very hour.

And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons and the images of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which neither can see nor hear nor walk.

And he ordained himself priests for the high places and for the demons and for the calves which he had made.

And they shall never again offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they fornicate. They shall have this as a perpetual statute throughout their ages.

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God, to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came from nearby, whom your fathers feared not.

Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils

Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, listening to spirits of error and doctrines of demons;

And he ordained himself priests for the high places and for the demons and for the calves which he had made.

But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I would not that ye should be participants of demons. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; ye cannot be participants of the Lord's table and of the table of demons.

And they shall never again offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they fornicate. They shall have this as a perpetual statute throughout their ages.

And the angels who did not keep their first estate but left their own habitation, he has reserved in eternal chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Art thou come here to torment us before the time?

When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Art thou come here to torment us before the time?

And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him and cried out, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with, but who are ye?

When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is lunatic and suffers miserably; for many times he has fallen into the fire and often into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. read more.
Then Jesus answered and said, O unfaithful and crooked generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring him here to me. And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon departed out of him and the child was cured from that very hour.

And one of the multitude answering, said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, who has a dumb spirit; and wherever he takes him, he tears him, and he foams and gnashes with his teeth and pines away; and I spoke to thy disciples that they should cast him out, and they could not. Answering, he said unto him, O unfaithful generation, how long shall I be with you? How long must I suffer you? Bring him unto me. read more.
And they brought him unto him; and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tore him; and he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming. And Jesus asked his father, How long ago is it since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And ofttimes it has cast him into the fire and into the waters to kill him, but if thou canst do any thing, help us, having mercy on us. And Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe this, all things are possible to him that believes. And straightway the father of the child crying out with tears, said, Lord, I believe; help thou my unbelief. When Jesus saw that the multitude concurred, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out of him and enter no more into him. Then the spirit, crying out and rending him sore, came out; and he remained as one dead, insomuch that many said that he was dead. But Jesus, taking him by the hand, straightened him up; and he arose.

And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the mountain, many people met him. And, behold, a man of the multitude cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son, for he is my only child. And, behold, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out; and it throws him into convulsions with foaming, and with difficulty it departs from him, bruising him. read more.
And I besought thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not. And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and suffer you? Bring thy son here. And as he was yet a coming, the demon threw him down into convulsions; but Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child and delivered him again to his father.

And many of them said, He has a demon and is beside himself; why do ye hear him?

The people answered and said, Thou hast a demon; who goes about to kill thee?

But the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem said that he had Beelzebub and that by the prince of the devils he cast out devils. And he called them unto him and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot remain. read more.
And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot remain. And if Satan rises up against himself and is divided, he cannot remain, but has an end. No man can enter into a strong man's house and spoil his goods except he will first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house. Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men and whatever blasphemies with which they shall blaspheme, but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit shall never have forgiveness but is obligated to eternal judgment, because they said, He has an unclean spirit.

Then the Jews answered, and said unto him, Do we not say well that thou art a Samaritan and hast a demon?

And it came to pass on the next day that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house, and David played with his hand as at other times, and there was a spear in Saul's hand. And Saul cast the spear, saying, I will smite David to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.

But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. And Saul's slaves said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubles thee. Let our lord now command thy slaves, which are before thee, to seek out a man who is a cunning player on a harp, and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand and thou shalt have relief. read more.
And Saul said unto his slaves, Provide me now a man that can play well and bring him to me. Then one of the servants answered and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem, that is cunning in playing and a mighty valiant man and a man of war and prudent in speech and handsome, and the LORD is with him. Therefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse and said, Send me David, thy son, who is with the sheep. And Jesse took an ass laden with bread and a bottle of wine and a kid and sent them by David, his son, unto Saul. And David came to Saul and stood before him; and he loved him greatly, and he became his armourbearer. And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me, for he has found favour in my sight. And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took a harp and played with his hand; so Saul was refreshed and was better, and the evil spirit departed from him.

And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand, and David played with his hand. And Saul sought to smite David to the wall with the spear, but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, who smote the spear into the wall; and David fled and escaped that night.

And Jesus left there and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee and went up into the mountain and sat down there.

For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him and came and fell at his feet; the woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation, and she besought him that he would cast forth the demon out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled, for it is not good to take the children's bread and to cast it unto the dogs. read more.
And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord, but even the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said unto her, For this word go; the demon has gone out of thy daughter. And when she came to her house, she found that the demon had gone out, and the daughter lay upon the bed.

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Art thou come here to torment us before the time? And there was a good way off from them a herd of many swine feeding. read more.
So the demons besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine; and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea and perished in the waters. And those that fed them fled and went into the city and told everything and what was befallen to the ones possessed of the demons. And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their borders.

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him a man of the tombs, with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, no, not with chains, because many times he had been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been broken in pieces by him, and the fetters shattered; neither could anyone tame him. read more.
And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and hurting himself with stones. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him. Crying out with a loud voice, he said, What hast thou with me, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion, for we are many. And he besought him much that he would not send him away out of that country. Now near unto the mountains there was a great herd of swine feeding, and all those devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out and entered into the swine, and the herd fell over a cliff into the sea (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea. And those that fed the swine fled and told it in the city and in the country. And people went out to see what it was that had happened. And they come to Jesus and see him that was tormented by the demon and had the legion sitting and clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. And those that saw it told them what happened to him that had the demon and also concerning the swine. And they began to plead with him to depart out of their borders. And as he was entering into the ship, he that had been troubled by the demon besought him that he might be with him. But Jesus suffered him not but said unto him, Go home to thy friends and family and tell them what great things the Lord has done with thee and how he has had mercy on thee. And he went and began to publish in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done with him, and everyone marveled.

And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a Pythian spirit met us, which brought her masters much gain by divination: she followed Paul and us and cried out, saying, These men are the slaves of the most high God, who announce unto us the way of deliverance. And she did this for many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Then was brought unto him one possessed with a demon, blind, and dumb, and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spoke and saw.

And he was casting out a demon, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the demon was gone out, the one who had been dumb spoke; and the people marvelled.

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name.

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name and he does not follow us; and we forbade him because he does not follow us.

Now as Jesus rose early the first of the sabbaths, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

and certain women, who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who ministered unto him of their substance.

and wherever he takes him, he tears him, and he foams and gnashes with his teeth and pines away; and I spoke to thy disciples that they should cast him out, and they could not.

And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

And there came forth a spirit and stood before the LORD and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, In what manner? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also; go forth and do so. Now, therefore, behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD has decreed evil concerning thee.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of the man, it walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then it says, I will return into my house from which I came out; and when it is come, it finds it empty, swept, and garnished. Then it goes and takes with itself seven other spirits worse than itself, and they enter in and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it also be unto this wicked generation.

Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon themselves to invoke over those who had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. (And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew and prince of the priests, who did so.) And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with, but who are ye? read more.
And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them and overcame them and prevailed against them so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

And as they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a demon. And when the demon was cast out, the dumb man spoke; and the multitude marvelled, saying, Such a thing has never been seen in Israel.

then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem, and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech

For many unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of those who were possessed with them, and many paralytics and that were lame were healed.

Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well; the demons also believe and tremble.

And they come to Jesus and see him that was tormented by the demon and had the legion sitting and clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion, for we are many.
