And some of them were persuaded, and cast in their lot with Paul and Silas; also, of the devout Greeks, a great number; and, of the principal women, not a few.

This, therefore, I say, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their hearts; who, indeed, having become without feeling, delivered themselves up to lasciviousness for the working of all uncleanness with greediness.

Be not, therefore, anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink!' or 'What shall we put on?' For after all these things the nations are seeking; for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

that at that time ye were apart from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.

Nay, but I say that the things which the gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I do not wish you to become partakers with the demons.

And the gentiles, having heard it, were rejoicing, and glorifying the word of God; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

And those of the circumcision who believed, as many as came with Peter, were amazed, because that upon the gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit;

But, when they resisted, and blasphemed, he, shaking out his garments, said to them, "Your blood be upon your own head! I am pure! Henceforth I will go to the gentiles."

And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in Heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world became our Lord's and His Christ's; and He will reign forever and ever."

Now the apostles, and the brethren who were in Judaea, heard that the gentiles also received the word of God.

and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and quadrupeds, and reptiles.

Ye know that ye were gentiles, carried away to the dumb idols, as ye were led.

who, indeed, change the truth of God into falsehood; and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever. Amen.

Speaking boldly, both Paul and Barnabas said, "It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you. Inasmuch as ye thrust it away from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the gentiles;

These twelve Jesus sent forth, having charged them, saying, "Go not into any way of the gentiles, and enter not into a city of the Samaritans;

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

whom He also called, not from Jews only, but also from gentiles?

tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that works evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek;

What, then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we before charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;

not in passion of desire, even as the gentiles, who know not God;

because, having known God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor did they give thanks; but they became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.

For He is our peace, Who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of the partition,

And the court which is without the temple leave without, and measure it not; because it was given to the gentiles, and they will tread down the holy city forty-two months.

And, as they did not approve the holding of God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not becoming; having become filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, back-biters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventers of evil things, disobedient to parents, read more.
without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful; who, indeed, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with those who practice them.

But the Lord said to him, "Go your way; because this man is to Me a chosen vessel to bear My name before nations, and kings, and the sons of Israel;

but, on the contrary, seeing that I had been entrusted with the Gospel of the uncircumcision, as Peter was with that of the circumcision; (for He Who wrought for Peter with regard to an apostleship of the circumcision, wrought for me also with regard to the gentiles).

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the Same One is Lord of all, being rich toward all who call upon Him;

And Peter, opening his mouth, said, "Of a truth, I perceive that God is not a respecter of persons; but, in every nation, he who fears Him, and works righteousness, is acceptable to Him. He sent the word to the sons of Israel, proclaiming the glad tidings of peace through Jesus Christ, (He is Lord of all): read more.
Ye know the word that came throughout all Judaea, after the immersion which John preached; even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power; Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the Devil; because God was with Him. And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem; Whom they also slew, hanging Him on a tree. Him God raised on the third day, and gave Him to become manifest; not to all the people, but to witnesses before appointed by God??o us who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead. And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to fully testify that it is He Who hath been ordained by God Judge of the living and dead. To Him all the prophets testify, that through His Name every one who believes on Him receives remission of sins." While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all those hearing the word. And those of the circumcision who believed, as many as came with Peter, were amazed, because that upon the gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit;

Simeon declared how God first visited the gentiles, to take out of them a people for His name.

And the gentiles, having heard it, were rejoicing, and glorifying the word of God; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. And the word of the Lord was being spread abroad through that whole country.

And all the multitude kept silence: and they were listening to Barnabas and Paul, recounting what signs and wonders God wrought among the gentiles through them.

And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the gentiles through faith, proclaimed beforehand the Gospel to Abraham, saying, "In you shall all the nations be blessed."

And, when Peter went up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision were contending with him, saying, that he went in to men holding uncircumcision, and ate with them!

and he says to them, "Ye know that it is unlawful for a Jew to join himself with, or come to, one of another race; and yet God showed me that I should call no man common or unclean.

Wherefore, remember that ye, the gentiles in flesh, who are called uncircumcision by that which is called circumcision in flesh made by hand, that at that time ye were apart from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.

And He, answering, said, "It is not good to take the children's bread and cast it to the little dogs."

crying out, "Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place! and, further, he brought Greeks also into the temple, and has defiled this holy place!" (For they had previously seen with him in the city Trophimus, the Ephesian, whom they were supposing that Paul brought into the temple).

For I do not wish you, brethren, to be ignorant of this mystery (lest ye be wise in your own conceits), that a hardening, in part, has befallen Israel, until the fulness of the gentiles come in;

And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by gentiles, until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled.

The Jews, therefore, said among themselves, "Where is This Man about to go, that we shall not find Him? Is He about to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?

For, of a truth, there were gathered together in this city, against Thy Holy Child Jesus, Whom Thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the gentiles and peoples of Israel??28 to do whatsoever Thy hand and Thy counsel predetermined to come to pass.

But then, indeed, when ye knew not God, ye served those which by nature are no gods;

And, when we came to Jerusalem, the brethren gladly received us. And, on the following day, Paul went in with us to James; and all the elders were present. And, having saluted them, he narrated, one by one, each of the things God wrought among the gentiles through his ministry. read more.
And they, hearing it, were glorifying God, and said to him, "You observe, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews, of those who have believed; and they are all zealous for the law. And they were informed by report concerning you, that you teach all the Jews who are among the gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children, nor to walk after the customs. What is it, therefore? They will certainly hear that you have come. Do this, therefore, which we say to you: we have four men who have a vow on them; taking these to yourself, be purified with them, and incur expense for them, that they may shave their heads; and all will know that there is nothing in those things of which they have been instructed concerning you; but that you yourself also are walking orderly, keeping the law. But concerning the gentiles who have believed, we sent to them, having given judgment, that they should keep themselves from idol-sacrifices, and from blood, and from anything strangled, and from fornication."

But Peter, beginning at the first, was explaining it to them in order, saying, "I was in the city of Joppa, praying: and, in a trance, I saw a vision, a certain vessel descending, as a large sheet, let down out of the heaven by four corners; and it came close to me: into which gazing intently, I was considering, and saw the four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and the birds of the heaven. And I heard also a voice, saying to me, 'Arising, Peter, kill and eat.' But I said, 'By no means, Lord; because a common or an unclean thing never entered into my mouth!' But a voice answered a second time out of the heaven, 'What God cleansed, make not common.' And this took place thrice: and all were drawn up again into the heaven. And, behold, immediately there stood three men at the house in which we were, having been sent to me from Caesarea. And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. And these six brethren also went with me; and we entered into the man's house. And he told us how he saw the angel in his house, standing and saying, 'Send to Joppa, and call for Simon who is surnamed Peter, who will speak to you words, by which you shall be saved, and all your house.' And, as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, as also on us at the beginning; and I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John, indeed, immersed in water, but ye shall be immersed in the Holy Spirit.' If, therefore, God gave them the like gift, as to us who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?" And, having heard these things, they were silent, and glorified God, saying, "Then, to the gentiles also God gave repentance unto life."

And, much discussion having arisen, Peter, standing up, said to them, "Brethren, ye well know that, from early days, God made choice among you, that through my mouth the gentiles should hear the word of the Gospel, and believe. And the heart-knowing God bore witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as to us: and He made no distinction between us and them, having purified their hearts by faith. read more.
Now, therefore, why do ye tempt God, that ye should put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were strong enough to bear? But we believe that we shall be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same manner as also they."

And again, "Praise the Lord, all ye gentiles, and let all the people extol Him."
