From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, Yahweh's name is to be praised.

God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars.

and has gone and served other gods, and worshiped them, or the sun, or the moon, or any of the army of the sky, which I have not commanded;

Then Joshua spoke to Yahweh in the day when Yahweh delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel; and he said in the sight of Israel, "Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!"

Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Yahweh is near, in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.

Won't the day of Yahweh be darkness, and not light? Even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.

The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

He commands the sun, and it doesn't rise, and seals up the stars.

The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun.

Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "What shall be the sign that Yahweh will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of Yahweh the third day?" Isaiah said, "This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do the thing that he has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?" Hezekiah answered, "It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. Nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps."read more.
Isaiah the prophet cried to Yahweh; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.

The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork. Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.read more.

For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Those who lived in the land of the shadow of death, on them the light has shined.

His splendor is like the sunrise. Rays shine from his hand, where his power is hidden.

He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light.

seeing it is God who said, "Light will shine out of darkness," who has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

He had seven stars in his right hand. Out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining at its brightest.

For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.

Those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

Let us acknowledge Yahweh. Let us press on to know Yahweh. As surely as the sun rises, Yahweh will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth."

They shall fear you while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations. He will come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth. In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.read more.

His seed will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me.

She who has borne seven languishes; she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she has been disappointed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says Yahweh.
