'Servant' in the Bible
Hazael said, “How could your servant, a mere dog, do this monstrous thing?”Elisha answered, “The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram.”
The Lord was unwilling to destroy Judah because of His servant David, since He had promised to give a lamp to David and his sons forever.

Then he commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Achbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the court secretary, and the king’s servant Asaiah:

What more can David say to You for honoring Your servant? You know Your servant.
Lord, You have done all this greatness, making known all these great promises because of Your servant and according to Your will.
Now, Lord, let the word that You have spoken concerning Your servant and his house be confirmed forever, and do as You have promised.
Let Your name be confirmed and magnified forever in the saying, “Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel, is God over Israel.” May the house of Your servant David be established before You.
Since You, my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build him a house, Your servant has found courage to pray in Your presence.
Yahweh, You indeed are God, and You have promised this good thing to Your servant.
Solomon and the whole assembly with him went to the high place that was in Gibeon because God’s tent of meeting, which the Lord’s servant Moses had made in the wilderness, was there.
You have kept what You promisedto Your servant, my father David.You spoke directly to him,and You fulfilled Your promise by Your power,as it is today.

so that Your eyes watch over this templeday and night,toward the place where You saidYou would put Your name;and so that You may hear the prayerYour servant prays toward this place.
Hear the petitions of Your servantand Your people Israel,which they pray toward this place.May You hear in Your dwelling place in heaven.May You hear and forgive.
Lord God, do not reject Your anointed one;remember the loyalty of Your servant David.
But Jeroboam son of Nebat, a servant of Solomon son of David, rose up and rebelled against his lord.
So the king called Jehoiada the high priest and said, “Why haven’t you required the Levites to bring from Judah and Jerusalem the tax imposed by the Lord’s servant Moses and the assembly of Israel for the tent of the testimony?

We have acted corruptly toward You and have not kept the commands, statutes, and ordinances You gave Your servant Moses.
Please remember what You commanded Your servant Moses: “If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the peoples.
Please, Lord, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and to that of Your servants who delight to revere Your name. Give Your servant success today, and have compassion on him in the presence of this man.At the time, I was the king’s cupbearer.
and answered the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor with you, send me to Judah and to the city where my ancestors are buried, so that I may rebuild it.”
At that time, I also said to the people, “Let everyone and his servant spend the night inside Jerusalem, so that they can stand guard by night and work by day.”
You revealed Your holy Sabbath to them,and gave them commands, statutes, and instructionthrough Your servant Moses.
join with their noble brothers and commit themselves with a sworn oath to follow the law of God given through God’s servant Moses and to carefully obey all the commands, ordinances, and statutes of Yahweh our Lord.
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity, who fears God and turns away from evil.”
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity, who fears God and turns away from evil. He still retains his integrity, even though you incited Me against him, to destroy him without just cause.”
I call for my servant, but he does not answer,even if I beg him with my own mouth.
After the Lord had finished speaking to Job, He said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken the truth about Me, as My servant Job has.
Now take seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. Then My servant Job will pray for you. I will surely accept his prayer and not deal with you as your folly deserves. For you have not spoken the truth about Me, as My servant Job has.”
In addition, Your servant is warned by them;there is great reward in keeping them.
Moreover, keep Your servant from willful sins;do not let them rule over me.Then I will be innocentand cleansed from blatant rebellion.
Do not hide Your face from me;do not turn Your servant away in anger.You have been my helper;do not leave me or abandon me,God of my salvation.
Show Your favor to Your servant;save me by Your faithful love.
Don’t hide Your face from Your servant,for I am in distress.Answer me quickly!
He chose David His servantand took him from the sheepfolds;
Protect my life, for I am faithful.You are my God; save Your servant who trusts in You.
Turn to me and be gracious to me.Give Your strength to Your servant;save the son of Your female servant.
The Lord said,“I have made a covenant with My chosen one;I have sworn an oath to David My servant:
I have found David My servant;I have anointed him with My sacred oil.
You have repudiated the covenant with Your servant;You have completely dishonored his crown.
you offspring of Abraham His servant,Jacob’s descendants—His chosen ones.
He sent Moses His servant,and Aaron, whom He had chosen.
For He remembered His holy promiseto Abraham His servant.
Though they curse, You will bless.When they rise up, they will be put to shame,but Your servant will rejoice.
Lord, I am indeed Your servant;I am Your servant, the son of Your female servant.You have loosened my bonds.
ג GimelDeal generously with Your servantso that I might live;then I will keep Your word.
Though princes sit together speaking against me,Your servant will think about Your statutes;
Confirm what You said to Your servant,for it produces reverence for You.
ז ZayinRemember Your word to Your servant;You have given me hope through it.
ט TetLord, You have treated Your servant well,just as You promised.
May Your faithful love comfort meas You promised Your servant.
How many days must Your servant wait?When will You execute judgment on my persecutors?
Deal with Your servant based on Your faithful love;teach me Your statutes.
I am Your servant; give me understandingso that I may know Your decrees.
Show favor to Your servant,and teach me Your statutes.
Your word is completely pure,and Your servant loves it.
I wander like a lost sheep;seek Your servant,for I do not forget Your commands.
Like a servant’s eyes on his master’s hand,like a servant girl’s eyes on her mistress’s hand,so our eyes are on the Lord our Goduntil He shows us favor.
Because of Your servant David,do not reject Your anointed one.
an inheritance to Israel His servant. His love is eternal.
Do not bring Your servant into judgment,for no one alive is righteous in Your sight.
and in Your faithful love destroy my enemies.Wipe out all those who attack me,for I am Your servant.
the One who gives victory to kings,who frees His servant Davidfrom the deadly sword.
Better to be dishonored, yet have a servant,than to act important but have no food.
A king favors a wise servant,but his anger falls on a disgraceful one. >
A wise servant will rule over a disgraceful sonand share an inheritance among brothers.
A slave cannot be disciplined by words;though he understands, he doesn’t respond.
Don’t slander a servant to his masteror he will curse you, and you will become guilty.

“You are My witnesses”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“and My servant whom I have chosen,so that you may know and believe Meand understand that I am He.No god was formed before Me,and there will be none after Me.
