Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

And, behold, one of them who was with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answer you nothing? what is it which these witness against you?

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you be the Christ, the Son of God.

Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.

How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to them who were with him?

Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zachariah in the wilderness.

And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

Then they took him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.

And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, You know nothing at all,

And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and struck the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

And led him away to Annas first; for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the high priest that same year.

And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the court of the high priest.

But Peter stood at the door outside. Then went out that other disciple, who was known unto the high priest, and spoke unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.

And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers who stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answer you the high priest so?

Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

One of the servants of the high priest, being the kinsman of him whose ear Peter cut off, said, Did not I see you in the garden with him?

And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,

And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they were perplexed of what might come of this.
